Former user name was 260DET, sold the 350Z race car I used to have then and went Mercedes 350 SLK that is now in fun track spec and goes quite well. Once shed space is cleared by selling/dumping an old project the idea is to get a HR auto 350Z project for a second track fun spec track car. Meanwhile I'll just cruise around here picking up pearls of wisdom.

 

I'm not sure how long you've been inactive, but you might be a little hard-pressed these days.

Don't buy an automatic. how much track time do you have anyway? no offense intended but really?

 

I just like a fast shifting auto with good engine braking, my manual shifting has never been good so a decent auto removes that distraction and facilitates better track concentration. A programmable aftermarket TCU is available for the JATCO as is a shift kit which will get me started.
