Newbie need insurance info
I seriously want to trade in my 2000 Celica for a Z. What is the insurance like on the Z compared to other cars in it's class? I'd use the search option but everytime I try to search the forums, I get an error message that suggest I refresh the page.
Cehome:
Call around - take your current insurance carrier and give them the 'year and type of Z (i.e., coupe/roadster).
If your 'leasing', the costs may differ versus 'ownership'. And as always, each part of the country/city/town insures differently (i.e., rates higher/lower based on State; City, etc.).
But just get the phonebook out or ask co-workers who they insure with and call -- pick up the phone and call.
Top three auto insurers are: Farmers; State Farm and Allstate.
And by all means, 'age of the driver' is a factor. The younger the driver the higher the insurance (ever wonder why you see so many 'older gents' driving hot cars? --- the older the driver, the less the insurance!).
