Full detail pictures of the suspension changes to the NISMO
I hope you guys are ready for this. Today we had our Z-Clinic with the local Z club. And we got to check out the NISMO in detail. Here are a ton of underbody pictures. We see many changes to the suspension that was not told about by Nissan. Extra braces, extra welds on the suspension itself. If you know your 350z well, you will notice this as well compared to a normal 350z. I will try to note the pictures. Most of the changes were done to the rear it seems. I couldn't find anything visually changed up front except the sprint/strut assembly. There are extra welds added where the factory had some also, but was not noted anywhere. These were on the suspension itself. Where the additional support is and around them.
My baby up in the air.

Front Right suspension:

Front Left suspension:

Mid Pipe, same as normal Z's.

Extra Brace with the hole in it added on to the alum section to the right of the green dot. Extra welds as well.

Better look of them on both sides.

Rear left suspension with the left side of an additional brace added with the black circle where it mounts. See below for a full picture down further.

Underside of the rear muffler which was the only thing changed on the NISMO.

Other side of the muffler. Here is another good shot of that brace. Mounts in two spots in the middle and on both ends. Sits right behind the muffler.

For the hitch users in question. Looks like it will work just fine on this model Z.

Much better view of the brace added.

Again and its end attach point:

Close up view of the extra support that was added.

More welds added, and another support added to another part of the rear suspension. More pictures of this one down further.

Another picture, it's the extra support where the cable bolts into with the blue stripe on it.

Carbon Fiber Driveshaft....thought I take a pic, but this is normal on 350z.

Our shifter linkage.

The line that holds our clutch fluid. This section is rubber and wrapped with heat wrap. This is the part owners should replace with SS lines.

Exhaust Manifold. I thought we had a real one, but you can see through the heatshield in person and personally real headers would benefit this car a great deal. They aren't like the engine mock ups I have seen.

Part of the transmission.....not sure what this is off hand.

And another

Another shot of the clutch line

The other Nismo 65 in the lot....he doesn't seem to want to get on here and register though.

Hmmm my baby..in front of the shop

Here I am working on another members car installing the mid pipe. I am the one with the black shirt with the emblem on the back.

For the rest of the pictures, please check out this link if your interested in the z meet.
