Default Nismo 350Z At Track

Today me and my friend went to the track, and we saw two Nismo 350Z's. One was a stock Red, the other a White with a turbo kit on it. The first race was the Red versus an '04 Sti, the Nismo ran a 13.408 sec. quarter mile and the Sti ran a 13.514 sec. quarter mile, the Sti messed up on the start, but finally hooked up quick with AWD. and the Nismo had a slightly bad two-three shift, and it almost cost him, but he pulled out the win. The next race was the White Nismo turbo (I'm not sure what kind of turbo) versus a '99 Supra Twin Turbo w/ other mods. The White Nismo ran a 12.415 quarter mile and the Supra ran a 12.938 quarter mile. They both launched good, the Supra had a bad one-two shift. Overall both were fun races we mey up with the guy with the Red Nismo, he said he loves it, and I told him about this forum, and he said he'd definetley look it up and maybe join! The guy also said that before we got there, there was a stock Black Nismo that lost to a turbo Eclipse, but we didn't see it so I don't have times or results, sorry! But overall a good race day for the Nsimo's, from what I saw!

I have yet to see a nismo in my area. Except for mine.

They don't have a turbo kit for the HR motor yet, so not sure what that white one was, but it wasn't a nismo. Doubt it was a home grown kit.

Already turboing a NISMO? Say bye bye nice, new car warranty. And I think they missed the point of the car...I was hoping you saw it at a road course, not a drag strip. I guess it's nice to see how the new HR motor performs though. That's a solid 13.4...not shabby.

Like I said I met up with the stock Red Nismo, and there is no doubt his was a Nismo. But I must say the White one looked legit and if it wasn't I don't know how he got it to look identical on the exterior! But like I said I can't say for sure, but I was under the impression that they have kits for '07 Z's but I may be wrong. Either way the Red was good enough for me, he did fairly well especially considering his mistake!

No biggie. 13.4 is an awesome time. I've never dragged before and I ran a 14.01. Hoping to get that low next year when I go again.

Not sure about that white one, but it's not a nismo.
