here are some more pictures - the best part of this mod is that the extra lighting fills out the shape of the taillight and thus make it look much more complete.
the modified LEDs acts as a parking light and gets brighter when braking
if you look at the whole taillight, especially from the side, it does not fill up all the "red" parts of the taillight, so that is the modification here. its actually more of an add-on than a modification of the taillight, since the stock LEDs have not even been touched.
found some pics from the forum, look at the stock way it lights up, and then look at my taillights. its a subtle mod. like i said, it fills up the whole taillight.
I like it bro, +1. Something I'd definitely do. Did you do it yourself? difficulty?
Thanks. Mike from clearcorners.com did this mod. Some people feel he overcharges but there is no way in hell I know how to do something like this. Plus even if I did know, I wouldn't have the patience to do it, I'm not really a DIY person... difficulty level is relative to your patience and of course knowledge on lights/led/electrical, etc. Clearcorners.com lists this mod as $545.
Quality is important to me, as well as keeping the car classy and "OEM-like" in quality, rather than ricey. The taillights are definitely sealed correctly and they come with a 1 year warranty I believe. I had a G35c and bought products from Mike, and the quality was excellent, never had any problems.
Wow that's defintely not worth $545.
Could of spent that money on better mods.
Customization is based on the individual. You would have spent it on "better" mods. All I want to modify are lighting and sound and navigation, and those are being worked on now.
