I don't think it's really going to be cost-effective for someone to buy the actual kit and put it on the standard Z. I think I read some estimate that the entire kit would set you back 4-5k. The only way I'd think someone would add this kit is if it were a replica. All a company would have to do is just find someone with a Nismo (or even buy their own), make a mold of the kit and offer it up to the public.

I figure converting it to look like a Nismo with the authentic kit will be rare, but replicas are pretty much inevitable.
Japan is being a pain about getting the cleaner front bumpers. If they do release them, you can best believe we'll have them here in stock

my point exactly..I don't see it.Maybe the 26 posts is why.I will try to be as professional as I can be on this matter. If i sold replicas I would say so like shine does. They offer great replica parts at great prices. My stuff comes from Nismo and or Nissan 99% of the time.

it makes me and im sure all the other Nismo owners feel good, that people want the kit so bad. There was all this bashing going, on now people are saying they want it. So hope you all get it, just dont go putting badges all over it calling it a real nismo, cause that's like putting a fairlady symbol on a left hand drive car.. it ain't riight.

At least Nismo owners will always have the seam welded chassis.

I have an '07 factory Nismo sitting outside right next to my dad's '05 S-tune. The Nismo does NOT have a wide-body kit. The lower parts of the bumpers stick out a little bit, but there's nothing on the body of the car itself that is any wider. You may be thinking about the JAPANESE Nismo car that has a very small lip added on to the metal. But, once again, it is NOT a wide-body. Just minor extensions inside the lip of the fenders.

The Nismo body kit will fit on the standard car with NO modifications (except for possibly the metal bumpers underneath, as already stated)

(Edit: maybe the inner fender liners too.)

i wonder if they are test driving the japanese nismo. could they justify the front and back diffusers as a wide body? i just got on nissanusa and edmonds.com and they both claim a "winning gt inspired wide body kit from autech". i am not trying to come across negative i am just trying to understand. please no one take me for an *******. i believe what you say, no questions, i just want to know what they mean.

If you look up the specs on Nissannews, the track width of the Nismo and GT models are 0.3 inches wider. Is this what you were looking at? I believe that's a measurement for the outside of the wheels and not for the chasis. Since the Nismo and GT share the same sized wheels and are wider than the Base/Enth/Tour, that would give you your wider measurements.

Where are these specs you've seen that lead you to believe it's wider? I've never seen or heard anything from anyone about "wide body kit". I think you've misheard something and got it stuck in your head that way. Or, just as likely, someone said something in a video that was incorrect.

Site a source and share with us, then I'm sure you'll get a better answer.
