It will only be a matter of time before the front and sides are also out.

Look on the bright side, maybe this means we'll be able to get the Japanese bumpers w/o those stupid reflectors and the cool fender lip/flares.

I don't think it's really going to be cost-effective for someone to buy the actual kit and put it on the standard Z. I think I read some estimate that the entire kit would set you back 4-5k. The only way I'd think someone would add this kit is if it were a replica. All a company would have to do is just find someone with a Nismo (or even buy their own), make a mold of the kit and offer it up to the public.

I figure converting it to look like a Nismo with the authentic kit will be rare, but replicas are pretty much inevitable.

That kinda pisses me off though. I knew it was only a matter of time before Nismo started selling the front and rear bumpers and wing. What pisses me off is the fact that I spent an extra 9 grand to have my car. And now some dumb *** kid can have the same car for less. I mean I realize that it is not a "real Nismo" but still.... I dont know that was one thing I was worried about when I got the car... Oh well what can we as Nismo owners do....

The body kit is not all that makes this car.

Makes it all the more important I wait for a genuine OEM Part from Autech and not cut corners for the spoiler.

I'd hate to have a real NISMO and a fake replacement spoiler...

Well, this always happens.

It cheapens their Z in my opinion. Why try to make it something it isn't?

It's like Mustang GT owners who put a Cobra kit on their car. It's just silly.

THAT is why I would NEVER buy a model like the Nismo Z. Love the car, but for all that extra cash to have something that will be copied is BS. It doesn't surprise me that Nissan would sell the Nismo parts separately!! Remember the "special edition" 35th Anniversary???? Need I say more??
This is just like the Lamborghini Reventon...3x the price of a Murcielago with the only difference being a wild body kit!! Absolute BS IMO.

are we really taking this guys word that it is a legit nissan part. i believe only AUTECH has the specs to make true replacement parts. not nissan. ill look into where the real parts comes from and let you all know. it would be funny to see this rear bumper on a Z without the rest of the wide body kit! hanging over looking like a cheap civic!

No need for worry as to make a really good fake, it would probably cost more than buying the real thing.

And anything short would be just like the 996 gt3, 1 look inside and you'll spot the fakes.

I wouldnt care if someone copies it (i buy cars for myself, dont care what others think ), I would know I had a real one. But a poser will always knows his or hers is faux and they would be right back where they started from... lusting for the REAL thing.

Considering he is a Nissan Dealership Sponsor, I trust him.
And again, the Nismo is NOT a wide body.
