yeah...trust me, it's normal and it all depends on how you ride the clutch. there's other owners out there that has far worse problems that ours. and yeah, you don't want to do that to your kitchen. i learned the hard way of trying to argue with the "War Department" (the Wife)...you never win.

I thought 08's would be around the 750 mark. With this one # at 708 does this mean they may not reach the 1500 originally projected?

(easy on the brakes for 500 miles) it's a really nice car. i love it. i wouldn't consider it for a daily driver though. i'm kinda paranoid about it...something about the serialized plate and knowing that repair costs will be a lot more.....
I don't track my car but wanted a Nismo Z for the look and exclusivity etc. However, I drove the Nismo and a Touring back to back, and the Nismo ride was far worse than my 03 S2000 which was pretty harsh. I bought a Touring 6 speed, great ride, no problems, and no brake dust. So, unless you track your car or enjoy wearing a kidney belt, go for standard Z without the Brembo brakes, and you will save several thousand dollars. I installed an Nismo cat back exhaust prior to delivery and it's the best option I've every installed on any car, looks great and sounds even better. It's my daily driver.

After some reviews from the like of edmunds, I was a bit worried about the ride, but it's a non-issue. My last Z with springs was much harsher by far, not to mention bouncier too.

Mine made the popping sound too until I pulled the coil spacers off, It had less than 100 miles on it then, no noises since.

Probably still had the spacers on it. Also tire pressure is key.

My brakes squeak like crazy only with light braking. Doesn't bother me much since most of my driving is on the highway, but driving around downtown this past weekend was starting to get annoying. Hope there's an easy fix. 2500 miles on it.

You should get the brakes checked out. They shouldn't be making noises like that.

Mine did that too... I took it to the dealer and the spacers were still on it. After they were removed, it never happened again....

The that annoys me about the car is the brakes squeak... For some reason it happens when I have been driving the car for a while... I asked the dealer about it and they said its the Brembo Brakes and there is nothing they can do about it....

Well, I have almost 10K on mine.

- The rear brakes squeek randomly under light braking.
- If I don't drive it for a couple days, starting it scares me a little. There is a rough turn over felt. Kind of like a thud while it's starting.
- The paint is pretty crappy, even inside. The plastic around the grip handle is so easily scratched off.
- Tires are not great at all
- Feels slow, even though I know it's not...guess that's more of a problem with me

But, I still love my car and can't wait for the better weather to take it to the track some more.

I have a 2008 Nismo Z and I love the way it handles, my one problem is that when i accelerate at full throttle, i hear a clicking or popping noise coming from my dash board and or gas pedal area, its frustrating, if anyone knows whats causing the problem please let me know asap.....but aside from that, this car is perfect.

+1 on the squeeky break issue. Anyone find out any more details on that? It only sqeeks under light breaking like many of you said. They still stop on a dime when you hit them hard without any squeeking. My car has about 8000 miles on it.

My father owned a 2005 G35x and it was awful. Come to find out it was caused by excess break dust. Don't know how that makes the wheels squeek, but it could potentially be the problem with our brakes as well.
