Default Spacers!

The dealer told me that the mechanics said to leave the spacers on so the car will be higher in the winter. I could not believe they would say this. Wouldn't the suspension be suseptible to damage leaving those things on. I told him to make sure he took them off.

Anyone have any input on this?

tell the dealer to fire the mechanics - those guys should not be allowed to change the coffee filters in a proper shop, let alone work on a car

now for them to say that, pure stupidity. or at that time, probably they were just being lazy and don't want to deal with it. it was specifically put on the front suspension to secure it and for less free-play of the coils while being shipped/delivered on the truck. but definitely have to go off the car before delivery. it will surely damage the springs in the long run if kept on there.

Yup thats what I thought too. I had them hand me all the spacers to make sure they took them out. I got 6 of them. Didnt see it on a jack becasue service was closed but I think there are no more than 6 total

MC I gotta double check the # so you can add me to the registry.

By far the best experince of the 1.5 days of driving around has been pulling out of my church parking lot and having this 10 year in complete awe, with the jaw droped and everything just turning around in a cirlce as I passed him.

For everyone who was wondering about the looks of this car, I take that 10 year olds reaction as the most unbiased opinion that this car looks awesome.

when i told my dealer, they didn't believe me, they said that they stopped putting in spacers a long time ago, ie calling me a liar, that was untill i showed them the post from this sight and the actual spacers in my car, then they just said sorry and gave me a free car cover, new gas, and a detail job. I never believe the dealer.
