Default The daily driver question!

For everyone who was wondering of the Nismo could be a daily driver....

All I can say is shame on Edmunds. Last night my Nismo made it though a blizzard with about 3 in of snow already on the ground. Yes it was extreamly scary (and I wouldnt have gone anywhere but I met my girlfriends parents for the first time and didnt want her father to kill me getting stranded at his house after he alread caught me with his daughter and was like "you know its snowing right?" Fun times..... I already got enough for being 21 with "a car like that"

But point of the matter is be careful, but dont be a *****. It absolutly kills me to drive this thing around with all the salt on the road, because I have a few tiny scratches now, but the point is... it's a car. I could have bought a camry, but instead I got something absolutly rediculously awsome that scares the bagebous out of old people in their camrys!

Hehe the father was like "that exaust is really loud, what kind of fuel does that run on?" I told him diced lions (Jeremey Clarkson)

Man I'm so glad I live in Houston..

Although we get tons of crap thrown up from the roads here as they are all concrete.

I've learnt that you just have to deal with it... I'd much rather be driving it than having it stored somewhere and be afraid to touch it...

yea it was about 3 in. I had to keep switching the TCS on and off if I had to stop on even a tiny slope. As soon as I hit the gas with the TCS on it would just kill the power. So I had to rock it or back up and get momentum and prey the other cars wernt going to roll throught the stop signs. It was really only terrible on the back roads, once I got onto relativly main roads most of the snow was either really packed down or liquified due to other cars going over it.

I got caught once and her father wanted to have that "talk" right after it happened! yeah longest two hours of my life... lol

Nope cleared it all and checked it as soon as i got home. No scratches or signs it was damaged at all. However I do have the 3M bra that covers that front lip, so any snow that may have grazed it wouldnt have done anything to it anyways

Damn, I have alot of sympathy for all you foul weather state owners. I am so **** about my Nismo that i don't drive it in the rain or even on windy days for that matter. Don't want some freak tree limb, shrub or small cat flying across my hood. But then again black does show every indiscretion.....

Lento, any pictures of the Nismo in the snow or covered with snow preferably. I always like those kind of pictures.

I'll get some pictures the next time it snows.

I just had to go throught this again the other day. I had to get home from Boston during a storm. I made it all the way from Boston to my house, about 10 miles away with a little wheel spin.

Definitly scary and I drove about 10 miles an hour. Couldnt get up the last hill to my house and had to go to a public parking lot, and have my dad pick me up.

Once I got the car home, i took a pots of hot water from my house out to my driveway and tried to rinse all the salt off.

My poor car looks like a mess right now. Im praying that the salt and sand didnt scratch it up.

I have to go wash it tommorow, Ill let you know if ill ever be driving it through the snow again after seeing the damage!!!!
