This has been reposted one-2-many times, but i'm not here to on you. just do a search regarding the Slave Cylinder recall. and yes, unlike the 2003-2006 model year Z's, w/c their slave cylinder is found outside the tranny, ours, the 2007-2008 model year Z's, is actually inside the tranny. i just had mine done today. it took half of my day just to get the whole thing done. i dropped my car off around 6:50ish am, got it back around past 1pm. i suggest you call and set up an appointment 1st, because i was told not all dealerships, or their service department for this matter have the part in stock, nor do they know about the recall itself and instructions on how to proceed and deal with it. hopefully you get my drift. my car runs like the way i took delivery 4months ago. i just hit 6k miles when i arrived at the dealership this morning. now, the clutch engagement seems a little stiff, but most people say the same thing after they got theirs done. well, hoe this helps bro. good luck.

I think the recall is only on the 2007's but I have a Nismo and mine needed replacement. Just in case, if I were you, I would call just to to be on the safe side.

It depends if your VIN# falls under the list. Whether its a 2007 or 2008 model year. If you didn't receive any mail, yet, it doesn't hurt to call your local dealership and ask service if they can look up your VIN# if it falls under the recall. Just my opinion.
