I have no idea on the clearance of those sorry, I've never done it

for spring rates / dampening I partially agree... for my experience the dampening must be driven by the spring rates.. of corse a "not enough" dampening will result in a kangaroo car and too much will allow you to lift the wheels from the ground, but springs are still the first part of the equation. a car sits on springs. not on dampers.
if you use the same mounts for springs is apple with apple... same leverage, same forces involved... dampening play a MAJOR role when you need to stop the spring movement.. compression, rebound, hi freq, lo freq and the hard part is mate the spring with the right damper. (than also sway bars play a good part into this equations and must be mated with the whole suspension assembly).
cusco is a reputable company. so it's pretty safe.
btw.. I'll try to have as much track time as I can before switching to coilovers... so I'll compare the times

Good. It'd be nice to hear an intelligent review from someone that can make an honest comparison instead of my "Seems to work alright for me" answer.

I had to bring mine to the track (she had only 800 miles... ) and the stock suspension works great... just a little bit too much of body roll thinking about R comp tires. but DAMN!!!! it's so easy, so neutral (acceptable light understeer in tighter corner entry.. but makes the car more predictable for not so experienced drivers) really easy to manage in corner exit... (especially leaving a nice of couple black stripes)... the only thing I don't like is the vlsd.. as usual.
btw I wasn't pushing the engine hard.. just hard in the corners.
hey Z1.. do you think that a set of volk re30 18*9.5 +22 all corners with 275/40 toyo R888 will clear? (mainly on front fenders).

i currently run 17x9 +24 with 275/40 tires. its a great setup and it fits nicely. Sport compact car runs their project z with 18x9.5 +42 bbs wheels with a 12mm spacer on the front and a 25mm spacer on the rear. they run 275/40 g-force kd tires. the rears fit just fine and the fronts tuck in nicely. it rubs the control arms just slightly under certain conditions but nothing that woiuld destroy the tire or disrupt the car. sitting level and going straight it doesnt rub. its a truely beautiful setup plus you can rotate tires. and the handling is definitely improved.

Well, some jackass had to be the first to do it. I just pulled it into the maintenance shop at work and did it myself last night. So it still needs to be aligned. It hasn't been the best weather here and the car is dirty as hell. I'll post up some better pics when we get a nice day and I can wash it up good and proper.
Thanks to Adam at Z1 for taking care of me.

Thanks man. I just got my clear reflectors and Nismo intakes installed over the weekend. Unfortunately my carbon fiber b-pillars are backordered so I most likely won't have them before GG. Hope to see you there.

No, I haven't gotten spacers yet. If I ran spacers, I'd probably go with extended studs instead of the ones that have studs built in, and I've just not felt like having that expense. The car actually looks fine without spacers, it's not that super-flush and rolled rears kindof good, but it's fine. I also plan on changing the rear tire size to a 275 and I think that'll look just fine without a spacer.

Thanks.
I need to do some updated pics one of these days with stuff I've put on it since it's been lowered and I started this thread. It's now got clear reflectors, nismo b-pillar garnish, red lugs, and AAM single exhaust. I've just been too lazy to take pics and do a dedicated thread for it.
