Default comparing stock z and nismo z

just curious has anyone drove a stock z and drove a nismo?can you feel the difference in hp and the suspension?I heard that the nismo parts only made about 25hp more at the wheels which i find hard to believe any feedback?

Stock Z and Nismo Z have the same hp. You must be thinking of the S-tune and R-tune products line (which this forum isn't really for).

The Nismo Z is my 3rd 350z. I started in '04 with a SB base and then traded in the next year for an '05 UY Enthusiast with the s-tune package. Traded that up a few months ago for the Factory Nismo.

The s-tune and the factory Nismo suspension are quite a bit better than the stock. The s-tune is the stiffest of the bunch. But the Factory Nismo handles better due to the other things added to the car.

The s-tune exhaust will give you a little more hp but not much. The Factory Nismo exhaust is only a different muffler. There's an intake and cams for the 06 and earlier DE engines (r-tune) but I never had those so I don't know how much they really improve over stock. For the '07 and newer HR engines, there's not much. Pretty much just the intake and I don't think that's going to gain much.

Unless you are a Nismo fanboy like myself, I recommend that if you want to go the s-tune or r-tune direction, you just go buy a new car with all that stuff added in. For the same price as any of the Nismo components, you can get better bang for your buck products elsewhere. I got a great deal on my s-tune because I ordered the car that way. Then I didn't have to pay for any painting or installation. And doing it that way, the warrantee for the s-tune products gets kicked out to 3 years 36k miles.

Having everything warrantied was worth a little extra, but the only way for any of those products to be warrantied is to have a dealer install them and that gets very expensive.

My previous '06 has full exhaust, osiris tune, s-tune suspension, camber arms, lm-gt4 rims with rt 615 tires...
I still have to go on a stretch of private road to record a video comparison.
more or less they feel same power (the other recorded 274 or 278 at the wheels after the full tuninig... baseline was 238)

main difference is on the track.. the nismo is really easy.. and let me say EASY to control, feels really predictable, easy to bring to the limit and also play a little bit over.
weakness are the stock lsd (and maybe the mountings), missing of a real oil cooler and diff cooler, stock oil fluid and lines...
and.. IMHO, if you are a track fanatic, the stock suspension are too soft and with not enought rebound control for hard core tracking.
also not having adjustable camber arms in the front COULD be a weakness.. but all stock is just.. PERFECT.. changing suspension and differential that will be a must to correct front grip.
