Lightbulb Future plans for my Nismo

I have a Nismo Redline #575 with 750 miles on her. She's been tucked away since November So this has given me time to research this awesome forum of ours! Looking for some opinions on some Mods I have or plan to purchase and installed this spring.

1) Set of VOLK CE28N Time Attack wheels 19x9.5" fronts & 19x10.5"
with a +22 offset ordered from Vivid Racing. (No plans to sell stock
rims)

2) Toyo T1R 265/30/19 fronts & 285/30/19 rears (Have not ordered yet)
These are pretty close to stock diameter. This size should work with no
probs correct?

3) Nismo Dual CAI

4) AAM Test pipes ( I can bolt the Cats back on for inspection in Nov)

5) MCR CF canards

6) Rays Red lugs (Do they make color matching locks?)

7) Change gearing to 3.9 (Recommend?)

8) 20% Tint

9) Reflash next fall when in storage.

Expect to have pics & Vids up in May.

Looking for constructive criticism!

Thanks

I want the Canards bad. My only solution is to replace the amber markers with Clear and smoke/tint them. Possibly order the JDM bumper and the Fiberglass hood pictured. Its $1800 for the hood plus shipping but its damn sexy! I'll some how have to adapt the bumper to be street legal if I go with JDM.

Sounds like a good plan. I don't remember seeing time attacks on a redline before, but it should look good. I'd opt for better tires though.

You should consider a lightweight flywheel. Combined with those 3.9 gears, that should make a nice combo. And maybe an aftermarket y-pipe and midpipe to complement those test pipes.

The MCR hood is nice, but I don't really think it's worth the price. When you consider shipping and paint, it really becomes an expensive hood. I like the top secret hood too, but the same issues about price. If you really want an aftermarket hood, I'd just wait for the Seibon offerings or other hoods available stateside.

Not sure how you feel about changing the suspension, but the money spent on the hood could be spent on quality coilovers. Lowering the car will make a huge difference in terms of looks and should also improve performance once it's sorted.

I agree its an expensive hood. Money best spent on something else. I'm steering clear of the lightweight flywheel due to noise issues and loss of momentum.

Suspension upgrades maybe considered but not this year. Car will remain NA this year as well. I plan to give the market more time to put out a tested and proven quality product when it comes to FI. Wish to have more options to chose from!

I have set a Hp goal but no rush to get there.
