Nismo Z #1213 w/ Nismo graphics
^ well, sure, if you wanna get all technical about it...
Anyway, what I said still holds true: the graphics themselves are for Nismo tuned Zs, which this is. We left off the S/R-tune decals b/c this is it's own specific model.
One could also argue that the components are simply later versions of themselves, or different versions, but true, I knew the exhaust was a muffler only; didn't know about the suspension differences, though. That would explain why this car rides so much better than mine with the full S-tune setup. I knew the dampeners couldn't account for it all. These are some of the things I DON'T like about the car; I think they could have done better with it in the respect that they should have used the existing S-tune components and put the full exhaust on it at the very least.

I don't mind that they didn't put the s-tune exhaust on. After all, this is a car that needs to be sold to the general public and the s-tune might not be everyone's cup of tea. But I think they should have made the inlet to the muffler larger and made it so it would bolt to the s-tune mid-pipe and y-pipe. Then just make a short tapered section to bolt between the muffler flange and the factory mid-pipe flange.
I think that would have been the way to go.

Good point. That would have been a decent compromise. Likewise, I guess, for the reasoning to soften up the suspension a bit. My car is a bit on the rough side; the Nismo is quite livable around town. I'd sure like to see how it handles with all it's chassis reinforcements if it had the full S-tune setup, though!
BTW, are there tech specs comparing the S-tune suspension to the Nismo Z suspension? I'd like to see the differences.

I haven't seen any actual specs between the two. I just know that the factory nismo suspension is supposed to be 35% stiffer while the s-tune is more like 50% stiffer. Each of them, I'm sure, have their own unique valving to the shocks. My previous car was an s-tune and it was definately stiffer when driving in town. The factory Nismo feels more planted going around a corner though (aside from the extra body roll).
These are just observations from a normal guy that doesn't track his cars. So take my impressions with a grain of salt.

But the S-tune is a very mild drop...mostly noticed in the front. And it's much stiffer, but (to me) is a night/day difference compared to the Nismo Z suspension. I can take turns like I never could before....the Nismo Z suspension just had a lot of body roll.
I also have the S-tune sways. Thicker front/smaller rear thickness. I'm pretty sure the front sways are the same between the Nismo Z and S-Tune....not sure about the rear.
S-tune is way more aggressive though...but might be too stiff of a ride for some people. I have nice heavy leather touring seats in my car, if I had the cloth seats I think my back would be killing me.
The Nismo Z is good though...not too soft, not too stiff....just right for a daily driver.
You left out he 40year olds like me lol. Also the car is NOT worth 39-40k.

My opinion is that it will attract either:
1) Younger buyers (16-21'ish year olds)
2) Middle-aged buyers who want to be younger (43+ year olds with a crisis)
If I were able to cash out...what? $39-$40+k on a car, I would not want it to have stickers all up and down on it. That is, unless Nismo were my sponsor and were sending me free stuff...
My 0.2 cents...
