I'm happy to know that dealers are having a hard time selling Nismo's.
Serves them jackholes right. If they did not try and rape every person
who actually tried to buy one, then they may not be having this problem.
They did this to themselves. I went to 5 different dealers, 5 different
Nismo's...all of them tried to rape my @$$ on this car.
I finally found one at a good price, and a good deal, so i bought it right
there and then. Any one of those other 07's I looked at, could have been sold to me, but no. I got an 08 in December of 07 for way less than those
other 07's were offering. One of the stealerships still has that exact same
PPW 07 on their lot!
As for the others who knows.

Yea I checked nada and they told me I should get 19,998$ for a trade-in with my 08 mazdaspeed 3 GT. When I brought it up to 2 dealerships already one told me no they could give me 15k MAYBE and the other said they would only take at wholesale because the nismo was going for such a good price. Well it's all bs in my eyes. Even at 19,998 they are making money cus the resell is still at 21-22k for this car cus most dealerships are getting 26k for em with sticker prices. I also just blame people tho cus Im sure a lot do get ripped off and its why the dealerships just think another dumb person will come in after you.

Dealerships use Gawles, not nada.
kbb, and nada are way off and inflate the value of a vehicle, which sucks cause it's a let down when ya go to the dealership and they offer ya less.
And my dealership just sold there nismo, they've had it forever, problem is no one wants em, they're not visually appealing, and they're expensive, plus the only interested buyer was me, lol, and I told them no chance in hell I'd pay 41k for it, lol. Especially considering it was bright red, and thats like a beacon to pull me over.
Someone must of finally bit the bullet and picked it up, I hope they didn't pay full price.
Damn Nissan
I can't wait to see what happens with the GT-R sales with this whole 10K over invoice thing.
I've come to the conclusion that it is a herd affect.
One dealer hears that another dealer got someone to buy a car for way over MSRP and immidiatly they think that they can do the same thing. Chances are that that person who bought the car at an obsurd price did not do research on the car and just walked into the showroom and was like "I like it I'll take it"
I called the dealer yesterday who is supposed to get one in in July and they have previously told me that 3 people are already on the waiting list with 5K down and all this other stuff.
So I asked them if their customers had gotten their financing approved or if they were paying cash or something. And the dealer was stumped.
So just for ***** and giggles, I was like I can probably pay you cash. And this guy hit the celiing, and all of a sudden that first one was suddenly available. And when I told him I wouldn't pay over MSRP he said that "other" dealers were getting 20K over and it was very reasonable. So I told him to call me if those depositers didn't get financing for the 80K
The guy would not let me off the phone.
I am not bashing any of you that preordered the GT-R for the markup because you understand the premium because it is the first one and and you know the GT-R inside and out.
I am more talking about the rich doctor who goes to buy his wife a murano. Sees the Nismo in the showroom, and the sticker says 45K and he has done no research and just buys it right off the floor.
This gives the dealers that slim hope that someone like that will walk into their dealership, and makes it that much more of a hassel for the rest of us who know the real price.

Dealership by me already said the GT-R will prolly start at anywhere from 80-90k$ for sticker price. This just means it'll eventually raise to 100k prolly cus some moron will buy it and the dealerships will think everyone else will...

I am a little confused. If Nissan knew they could get $80K for the car, why didn't they make it 80K. I would like to think that they realized that is too high and would not be able to move them at that price.
However the dealers are dumb ***s and other than the first few to come to the states they will just sit. damn them to hell.
I am shocked Nissan is not doing anything about this. Potentially it can scar their name...
I just dont get it. There has to be a reason that they priced it at 70K instead of 80-90K.
Can someone explain this to me please.
They want to competitively price it towards the corvettes. Only problem is dealerships want to make money too. They can sell a car for invoice if they want but then the dealership doesn't make as much money. There was one gt-r sold in the states already for 116k$ and theres pic's up on a forum somewhere just forgot which it was. Plus its just a huge anticipated car that has never been in the states. Prices will be ridiculous at first.
