Default Back up camera

Hey guys

When ever i park the nismo I'm always worried about how far i am from the kirb stone in front or the car in front.I saw these back up camera's in "Cost co" today for around $70 and thought maybe i could mount one to the front instead of the rear.Has anybody done this ? or know anybody that has done it ?.

Take it easy.......Moss

a buddy of mine he on this site his profile name is bucknasty. he had a rear camera, it was installed and hooked to his tv screen, and attached to the license plate in the rear, very useful i'll say when parking or just backing up. i to will be getting one myself.

yea i bought one from cosco. haha for Z, you cant see sxxt in the back. so i decided to put it on. you can either put it on front and back but do you really need on front? it's gonna look funky if you do that haha
it's really easy to install. it took me about 15 mins to install it even though i am not good at wiring at all. haha if you need question you can ask me. it's really useful.

Is there a reverse switch in a manual Z that can be used to trigger the reverse-camera?

no. but what you can do is you can hook and the backup camera's wire and reverse wire together. then camera view comes on only when you put your gear in reverse.

What?

How would the headunit know when I go into reverse?

<- Using a headunit that is back-up camera capable.

Get the radar sensors for the front and back. 8 (4 for front and 4 for back) should run about $80. I have the rear view camera but that does not help. The radar sensors are better bc there is both an audible beeping alarm that beeps louder the closer you get and also an LED screen showing the perimeter of the car.
