Default Adjustable Clutch Engagement Who Has Done This?

I was wondering who has tried out this DIY
(http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=168519) for the Clutch Egagement Point, to shorten it and if you could give a review of it.
Also, is it possible that such an adjustment is bad for the car in any way?
Thanks.

The reason I posted here is becasue I wanted to know if any Nismo owners have adjusted their clutch using the DIY from the link I posted in my first posr above: http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=168519
I did it and think it is much easier to drive the car, just wanted to hear some opinions and feedback from other Nismo owners.
Thanks Bro! (67NISMO).

No worries. I just hope it's not damaging the clutch or the transmission, which logically I think it can't but I am no expert in car mechanics.

I don't know all that much about the internals bits of cars, but to get this done by a mechanic would it cost a good amount of money? If so its not worth it, but if its a quick fix kind of thing would it be worth it. I've been told that the whole transmission has to come out to replace a clutch, so I am guessing it would have to come out to adjust it as well. Please correct me if im wrong

Thanks

no need to remove the transmission. there are two methods, both DIY. one is just turning a bolt...the other is placing a stopper.

What do you think the dealer will nail me for if I ask them to do it next time I bring it up there to get my oil changed.

I see that the DIY looks pretty easy, but it seems that with the double sided tape if you are going back and forth on the clutch one of those peices could come loose. It's probably just me, but I get nervous when I start fooling around with stuff like that.

The Double sided tape is quite strong. I did about 3 weeks ago and my driving imporved tremendously, so I decided to take it off anf try driving the way it was from the dealer, it took me some serious pulling to get the tape off, it was stuck on pretty good. Needless to say I drove for a couple of days and didn't like it and put the stoppers back on. That cluctch is just to long and springy the way it's setup from the dealer.

Thanks! That is exactly what I was hoping to hear (Tape wont just pop off) I get nervous whenever I start fooling around with things I don't know a lot about. I think I'll give this a try tommorow. Did you use this as your guide http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=168519

did you have any problems?

P.S. This is obviously an issue. Why doesn't Nissan just fix this issue. Is there some benifit to having long clutch travel? I don't get it.

That is the guide I followed and it took about 10 min to install.
Not sure what the purpose of the long clutch is.

At first i HATED the clutch, i kept stalling, jerky starts...etc. Now im used to it. The pedal travel is still insane, but it didn't bother me as much as it first did. Im gonna try the glider this weekend though and look like a noob all over again. lol

Just did this tonight. Quick, easy, reversible, and the clutch engagement point is now where it should be. Anyone can do this themselves pretty easily. Don't bother paying a dealer to do it for you. Plus you can keep adjusting it after taking a quick drive around the block and get it exactly where you want it.

Why not just adjust the bolt? It's quick and easy. I'd much rather adjust the bolt vs. create plastic stops that could come off. It's like adding cushions to your seat to raise it up when you could just adjust it. It would probably take less time too.
