Default Nismo Dual Intakes quick question

How much am I looking at if I buy the intakes myself and have an autobody shop install them. Would they void my warranty?

Thanks

its been discussed plenty but, you should really do it yourself. Trust me its not very hard, just a little time consuming but, nothing too long.

hrrrmmmmm.... Well you see im lucky I can pick out a phillips head to a flat head. Thats about as far as my mechanical skills go. When you order the intakes does it give you step by step instructions on what to do, and all the items you need to do it?

I mean everything to do it (like teflon tape or some other material that may be taken for granted, because I know next to nothing about the insides of cars

Just take the time and do it yourself. Give yourself the satisfaction of learning to wrench on your own car. Yes, It comes with detailed instructions. Its cake. You can do it

Good Luck with the install, you should be fine. Here is a topic MC started about istalling his intakes: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....ntakes+Install

You will probably want an ECU reflash done after they are installed in order to have any proper gains otherwise you might loose some power.

I ordered mine from them. I think they had the best price for the system, or at least as far I could see. Their shipping prices are steep though. I think they charged me 40 bucks for shipping a 8lb box....That was mostly packing peanuts

The directions are very easy to follow. They have a picture for every step and it explains in detail what each step wants you to do. There were 2 things that the instructions were kinda wrong on though.

1. They didn't mention removing the black OEM ram air ducts. One step they were there in the pics, the next they were gone. So they have to come out in order for the filters to fit. The right hand side came out easily, the left side one i had to cut in half and junk it. No matter how to try to rotate it and angle it out, it wont go.

2. One of breather hoses supplied is too long and wont let the pipe seat properly. I had to cut off about a 1/4" to 3/8" of a inch off it.

Otherwise its a pretty straight forward. I just did mine about 3 weeks ago so its all still fresh in my head.
