New Shoes & lowered
JL,
Wish I could've seen the car when it was at the shop getting the new shoes and Cusco's installed. Impressive.
Hope you and your other lady (not the Z
) are doing well. Thanks for your kind words in my blog as well. Take care homie.
Darren

Thumbs up in my book!
Glad to see such a great positive response as well. The level of Hatorade didn't even come into play on this thread.

Thanks to everyone who’s chimed in to comment on my “minor” alterations. I had to laugh at the “buttsecks” comment.
I left Saturday morning to check out the Z-meet at Huntington Beach, CA. I got there a little late (11am)…I was driving from Phoenix, AZ.
Love the coilovers but since this is my first lowered car I’m being perhaps a little over cautious going into parking lots. No rubbing whatsoever, the coilovers were comfortable. I drove the car for about 1k miles in two days (this is what happens when you can’t drive your own car for 4 months).

The exhaust is great...with one exception. At 65 mph you get a “booming” sound that doesn’t stop. Unfortunately, the police officer who pulls you over doesn’t seem to buy that explanation for doing 79 mph in a 65 mph zone.
Really though, I love the sound, but I know others have gone to HKS because it’s a little tamer. Definitely makes you feel like you’re a race car.

Just wondering IF you went with a 30 profile would you still have to roll the rear fender?

Nismo_1023 & kihun....thanx
RastabeanZ: About the 30 series profile. I was wondering the same thing...I think I would've been in the clear, and generally speaking when you run a staggered setup you run one step down in the back than the front since the width of the tire compensates...you end up with about the same sidewall front and back.

But mine are 285x35x19 whenever they get here.
