My car has no electronic aids and it took this driver (not me) less than 10 seconds to spin her....

This is dry pavement too. Listen to the throttle, just before the spin. On a wet road, it takes much less throttle to induce a spin.

To be fair, the guy that was driving my Z in the vid was used to a 170hp MX-5 on race rubber, not a 300hp 350Z on street tires.

What he was doing might have worked in his car, but there was no way it was going to work in mine.

OEM TIRES SUCK IN THE RAIN.

I had the same thing happen to me and another Z driving north on I-95 Rain came down doing 60 mph we both spun out and went in an enbankment less than 100 yrds from each other. Both cars had oem tires and where PPW.. i gotta pic but cant attach it.

I drive my Z all year round, rain and snow. Believe it or not, the TCS isnt going to do any harm (unless you are driving uphill in the snow and start to spin...it cuts the power and brings you to a stop). STOP BLAMING THE CAR.

the roads were wet
+ OEM tires not good in the rain (once again not the cars fault, you can change them or adjust your driving)
+powerful RWD car
+unprepared driver
=chance of wreck.

Another one of those "hey I wrecked my Z but it totally wasn't my fault!!!! Zomg I gave it some gas while it was raining and the TCS and VDS didn't kick in!!! The stock tires must suck ***!!!!"

I'm expecting people on some other 350z forum coming over and defending this guy, just like that that last wrecked nismo thread.

Jackass, learn how to drive and man up to you mistakes, or like Hraes says, "just admit you're a teen so you have an excuse"

by the road. It happens. sorry to see it bit you. on Wet days I slow way down, because everything happens much faster.

This better not make my insurance premiums go up like when all the dumb kids wrecking their SRT4's made my SRT4's rates go through the roof.

What's up with them are that people driving them had their parents buy the cars for them without the kids knowing how to drive.

all i say is driver error...
yesterday was raining here, i was on the highway at 70, and downshifted into 4th and gave it gas... it did get lose on me, but with experience and throttle control, it was nothing to keep it going straight...

Still.... it is sad to see these cars crashed, but everyone knows it was going to happen...
hope everyone is ok, its just a car... a very nice car, but still a car...

to the kids... i have bought every car i have owned, no parental help... but if your parents are that nice, i would like some donations for a gt-r... lol
