I bought my car Apr' 13. When i bought the car the serial # plaque was missing. After extensive research.(14 months)... I discovered that the COA was never issued for this car to the original owner..... sooooo..... with that information I asked Nissan if it was possible for me to receive it. To my amazement, they sent it to me..... yeah for me!!!
It is my understanding that "only" original owners are eligible to recieve this certificate. I have read that Nissan was giving "copies" to owners who requested them. I also have read (on this forum) that Nissan has stopped this practice as well..... I was very fortunate to receive mine and am extremely grateful to the rep at Nissan that helped me on this issue.
