Congratulations on your purchase. What a find. I had what I thought was the opportunity to purchase #003 from Ken Ganley Nissan in Brunswick, Ohio. We agreed on a price, I sent a certified check for payment in full, they cashed it, it cleared, I arranged for a transport to pick it up and the day before the transport arrived they called me and said they sold it to another customer. I called the manager every name I could think of before I hung up on him. That was the worse car buying experience I ever had in my life. I was mad beyond description. So it was good to hear you got your car! Again, congratulations.

It was $50k at charity auction at the Daytona ZCCA convention. Nissan donated the car. Proceeds went to Special Olympics Florida. In addition to teh certificate it included items signed by Mr. K, including the sun visor, window sticker and Nismo brochure. A stack of pictures of Mr. K signing.
No it's not any different carwise than any other Nismo. No more than a Shelby Mustang GT #0001 signed by Carroll Shelby is different from a production Shelby. Just a piece of Z history signed by a recognizable automobile icon. Maybe not in quite the same league as Carroll, who seem's to be the top dog. But still fun Z to own and definitely a collectible.

Only the amount over MSRP is tax deductible. No, I won't mod it. Did put on clear protection to keep rock chips off. I did not buy for investment purposes, but I do just drive it occasionally for pleasure and our Z Club events to keep the mileage down.
Sell it? Depends on the offer. If the economy keeps going south, I might have to sell it to put my kids through college. LOL.
