Question Nismo Z Painting?

Thinking about buying a 08 Black Nismo Z...However, i've noticed the kits on the cars arn't painted they're like an ash grey! WTF???

Can these be painted to match the car? And why arn't they? Thanks,

DJ MC

Need more info.

How do you know what the kits look like if you've not seen one?
Are you looking at a Nismo on a website or something?

Post the link.

aftermarket parts are often sold unpainted, the ashy gray color is kind of a primer, i think.
some body shops/companies that sell aftermarket parts will paint them for you as well. some people prefer to buy them unpainted and take them to their paint shop. depends on a lot of factors.

other than that, i dont know what "kit" on a nismo z you're talking about. if whatever car you're looking at has primered body parts, they're either aftermarket or something happened to the OEM parts and they were repaired but not repainted.

I have the Nismo front bumper cover on my car color matched, so I think you could do the same to the rest of the car.

Personally, I don't like the flat black accents, but I assume Nissan made it like that to give the car some contrast and have it stand out more as a Nismo edition. VW GTIs are the same way.

He's talking about the lip/sideskirts that aren't colormatched.

How old are you? No offense, but did you really need to ask if a body part could be painted?
