Default Nismo Aero-Dynamics Question

I cracked my bumper in pic below (pic is not my car). Will the cracks illustrated in the picture effect the air flow and function of the body kit?

The white illustrates where the cracks are. I went to the body shop and they wanted $1600 for a new bumper or $800 to use some 3M Bondo stuff.

So I bought Gorilla Glue for $8, glued it and put a piece of electrical tape over it for now.

Also the plastic in the wheel well got cracked, as well as the front part of the side skirt which I put a white dot on in the pic.

Will this damage effect high speed handling?

Thanks

I highly doubt that small crack is going to affect that. Why not have a shop bondo that spot, and repaint the whole bottom portion of the lip to match?

You my friend need to find another body shop. 800 for some minor bondo work is outrageous.

Thats what I said to them. I thought that was outrageous as well.

I checked with a few bodyshops but I only found one who said they could use bondo on my car.

The bondo kit itself is only like $40-80 bucks. They claim the high price is from the labor and painting.

From what they told me it would take them a while to take off the bumper, sand and bondo the crack. Repaint the bumper. Add flex and other stuff to the paint. Then it was $100 to re apply the 3M Tape over it.

So I forgo the tape its only $700 but still i thought that was way to high.

It kills me to see the car cracked, but I am really more concerned about the functionality of the car. I just want to have the same confidence driving it around twisty roads as I did when it was new.

And not have to worry if it will start to pull one way or another above 60 mph.

This Video gave me a little confidence that it will be fine.

Clarkson crashes a GT3 and then it races against an R8 and looks like it drives fine

...the bumper is $500. So they're charging you $1100 to paint the bumper?!? As stated above find another body shop.

All the bodyshops showed me the printout of the bumper price and it was about $600- 650. Possibly shipping? who knows, and the 3M tape is about $200 included in the $1,600

The underbody cracked a little too. If you look under your car you will notice by the front of the wheel wells the the bottom of the car looks like this.

|Wheel Wheel |
---------_____-----------_____--------- (Underbody)

It has 2 little wind deflectors or something. When I hit the cone it cracked the plastic infront of it. Will that greatly affect air flow under the car?
