Default Hey guys I turned down 34.5k OTD for an 08 Nismo

What do you guys think since all of you are Nismo Z owners. How much should I be paying right now for a Nismo Z? Should I ask for 32k OTD?

30k or less IMO. If you're going to pay that much for a new car just get the 370z, you'll fall in love with it I'm sure... esp if you haven't owned a Z before. 370z .99g skidpad vs .89g 350z, increased chassis stiffness and a better engine make for a better car. 0-60 in 4.7 isn't bad either.

the nismo owners are going to say its a great deal because the majority of them paid more. there are cases of nismos going for much less, though, and it will only get worse as the economy goes down and the 370 becomes more mainstream

what is it about the nismo that impresses you the most / justifies the cost? most people are better off going a different route, and like it for the wrong reasons.

I got to drive the Grand Touring and the Nismo today. The Nismo handles and shifts much better in every way. The shifter on the Grand Touring is very sloppy plus it doesn't feel like a 300 horse machine. The Nismo does. I just want a fast car stock and keep it stock. Probably gonna daily drive it as long as I can.

I don't think the 370 does 0-60 in 4.7. According to car and driver, or was it automobile, it was like 5.3 seconds. 4.7 is Evo territory, that would be sweet if it did it, but i don't think it does.

Why guess when you can read about it and know for sure. Caranddriver.com and motortrend.com has the reviews.

Anyway, Car and Driver got 4.9. Motortrend got 4.7.

I jewed them down to $27,500 OTD but it also depends on the location, I bought mine in northern TN where they got a Nismo by chance and no one was willing to spend that on a car up there so I briught the check from my bank in and wrote the amount on the check and basically said take it or let the car sit forever because none is going to buy it and to my surprise they took it. I guess I was lucky the only thng is it was a one owner who lost his job and the dealer took it from him because he couldn't make the payments anymore, but it only had 785 miles on it!

if you want the nismo, get the damn thing, and 34.5 OTD is a good deal. Of course all of the 370z fanboys are going to beg ya differ, as much as they hate to admit it, the 370z and NISMO 350z are basically in the same class.

I agree but it is all personal preference ( NISMO or 370Z) I just think he can find a better deal on the NISMO but as far as performance wise they are in the same class!

Just even $34.5k otd sounds really good. I got mine for $40k plus tax and fees. I had my car since august of 07 and still lovin it. Besides the resell value will be good. Still try to work them since economy is doing bad.

As far as I'm concerned you should now be able to get a 2008 NISMO Z for a used car price since it is actually last year's model - even if it has never been titled and has been sitting in a showroom the whole time. Just look one up on KBB and put 100 miles down, excellent condition, and private party price. Whatever that is, that's the most I'd pay. I would have turned down the 34.5 too. With the economy, I still think you could do a lot better than that and it's no surprise many dealers have had them on their lot for almost a year now.

i was about to say, you paid less than most people get base models. 785 makes sense of it now.

Sup Man I work at Nissan and those cars are cold as hell right now. Its a $38,000.00 car so $34,500.00 OTD Is pretty strong. Best bet though really is just buy a regualr Enthusiast and build it yourself.
