nismo pro: more sport than the benz, quick, and possible vagina magnet.

This is some great input. Thank you for the pictures of the e55 as well. I'm starting ti understand why you guys say e55 but the only set back is maintaining. When I had my m3 it was in the dealer at least once a month. I ran out of warranty after some time and ended up paying so many random high repair fees.

Look into a BMW 550i. Not as fast as an E55, but a much more involving and fun to drive car. There are many past E55 owners who moved into a 545/550 and were enjoyed the car much more. The e55 is fast, but it will become a bore. The 5 series won't exactly drive like a sports car, but if it's your only car, it will be a very nice compromise. I could keep up with Porsches and Zs with ease in the canyons while driving a 545i.
same price as the nismo. mid 20's. used. 2004. E55's dropped in value soo much since they came out.

E55 is a beast! A classic "sleeper".
Just make sure you buy an extended warranty and you will be good. You are getting a LOT of HP for your money.

Ummmm...Just an FYI but there is NO 2008 E55. The last year they offered the E55 was 2006. Starting 2007 there was the E63. The E55 is rated at 469 hp and 516 ft. lbs of torque. The E63 is rated at 507 hp and 465 ft lbs of torque.

The 382 hp and 391 ft lbs of torque you rated is for the E550. VERY different from the E55 and the E63.

You can't be the everyday driveability of the E55. TONS of power and room to fit your friends/family. Obviously it isn't as sporty as the Z but the car does just fine...

I vote for the E55...

I don't get it. So do you own a NISMO or not? In another thread you were asking about lowering springs for your NISMO.

It obviously depends on your personal preference.

If I had this option I would go with the Nismo without a second thought.

I think looks unique and is a great sports car. I am one of the few on the road with one, and I personally think it will come close to or outhandle an E55 around corners.

However if your looking for a 4 door luxury car with some grunt your proablly going to lean to the E55.

I myself am not a big fan of Mercedies. I guess they look decient now but I always found the E class plain looking. My father used to own an E430 and the thing was nothing but problems. It also didn't handle very well, and the service was probably the worst I have ever seen. Not to mention the prices for everything were astronomical.

However, it did go like stink in a straight line and had and seemed to have a ton of torque, because it really sucked you into the seat when you hit the throttle, and you can get all kinds off tech goodies and nice comfy leather seats and such. I felt like I was in a rocketship every time I got in it.

Im sure you will have a ton of fun no matter what you buy. What is the price difference between the Nismo and E55 you are looking at?

Good Luck

just read upi some info on benz forums and i thought my m3 used to have problems. almost every other thread was about something going wrong with someone's e55. I guess this is normal for all highend cars. My m3 was in the dealer every month and I don't want to live that lifestyle again. I know the nismo is very reliable, even if I track the car, correct?

I disagree, I guess it just depends on the car. I have had no problems with my 335I and it is only a year old with 35k on it. Plus it's faster in the straight away than my Nismo.

agreed on the fact that we have different cars but I've owned 2 m3's and both of them made my life hell. One of them had 33k miles and the other had 74k miles. Both were in the dealer often. But i purchased both of them used and I am extremely picky when it comes to cars so if the smallest thing went wrong I would notice.

I still miss them both. They were good cars besides the meticulous issues.

What's up with the wing on the first one? I thought about getting an E46 M3 because I love how they look but decided on the E90 335I because of the 4 doors and the twin turbos.

That's an ac schnitzer wing or ACS style wing which is actually wind tunnel tested and functional. But yeah, definitely need other mods to pull it off.
