that sucks man. Sorry to hear about it. I would just go to a painter and get a price. If the price is crazy then go to insurance. Well anything over 500.

at my buddies apartment complex where I have been to for years and this just happen......
Yep, went through insurance. I have a $500 deductible, so I kinda got raped there.
That's what ex-gf's do I guess...
BUT... I took advantage of this. Body shop told me insurance is paying for all the paint. Bought a Nismo V2 kit, and just had to pay for the prep work.

yeah man, sorry to hear about your nismo aswell....
Wow! That's crazy! I have the same exact marks on my car.. Someone broke into my car a while back and keyed it at the same spot as yours. At least you don't have a busted window. Hope you can fix it dude I still haven't even bothered to fix mine.
it's the black magic of haters.
thursday going out from work the arm at the exit "scuffed" the trunk and the wing.... and we had to debate a little because I did a "california stop"...
I polished the part and was only paint transfer.. no scratches, no dent... good polish and elbow grease... and damn! new!...
I wake up this morning and... sbam the mirror...
the haters curse on the nismo is strong!

Sorry to see that bro. There are haters out there who simply do things to lash out their jealousy and anger towards you. Believe, i know how it feels. At least it wasn't the entire car, and only the quarter panel. Wish your car full recovery soon.
People who key cars should have their hands cut off. It's happened to me twice in the past. I just wish I could catch them in the act.
I'd get an estimate from a decent body shop, it might not be that bad. You'll have to pay one way or the other, up front out of your pocket or a rise in your insurance plus the deductible. Sorry, I feel your pain.

if you dont feel like dishing out the money you can go to a autoparts store like pepboys and buy those little paint pens and just cover it up temporarily, thanks to a dog i had to do the same for my civic

How deep are the key marks. My sister got her scion XB keyed at school. It was about three foot long like someone walked by and held out the key. I was able to rub it out with a rubbing wheel and compound. Only had a three inch section that was deeper in the paint but not down to metal.
If the scracthes aren't to deep you might get lucky and just hve too rub it out. Try taking it to a detailer for this if you can't rub it out yourself.
