my car got keyed recently, don't know what to do. I know if i get it repainted its going to have to be the whole quater panel. Should I go through insurance? my deductible is 500.oo ouch. or should I go get it painted somewhere? I'm not down for the touch up paint either cause that **** looks like ***. Will my insurance go up?

People who key cars should have their hands cut off. It's happened to me twice in the past. I just wish I could catch them in the act.

I'd get an estimate from a decent body shop, it might not be that bad. You'll have to pay one way or the other, up front out of your pocket or a rise in your insurance plus the deductible. Sorry, I feel your pain.

That really sucks, that people would do that to your car.
I think some insurance companies cover vandalism without raising your
rates, or penalizing you. You may want to check with your agent.

Don't feel left out OP. My brother had key marks on his RX8 that ran from headlight to taillight. And as much as I dislike the RX8, I would never do something like that..it was sickening when I first saw it..

 

somebody keyed my sisters 07 altima all the way around. had to get the entire car repainted, estimate was $2700

 

My entire driver door was keyed a while ago. The entire side of the car had to be repainted. Came out to $700.

A friend of a friend back in high school had an STI and got EVERY panel of the car keyed. Meaning front bumper, hood, both fenders, doors, quarter panels, rear bumper and roof
