Well, State Farm still hasn't sent an adjuster out to the shop yet so I have no idea what the actual damage is, yet. I'm a bit shocked, really, I'd have thought they's be as curious to know what they're going to pay out as I am. Hmmm?

Turns out I'm banged up worse than I thought, doc says I have significant soft tissue damage and I have to go back to see her tomorrow to see if I'll need physical therapy. I must admit I hurt an order of magnitude more now than I did Friday or Saturday.

I'll keep you guys posted on the car though. I'm hoping they total it, I have gap insuarnce so I'll be covered for the money. It'll just be a pain finding another silver Nismo in Houston.

We'll see what happens.

with that kind of accident you'll suffer from long term injuries the rest of your life.
neck, back, sometimes lack of balance... if they already started showing up isn't good at all.
so, don't be a hero, and try to get some money back, not for the sake of doing it... you'll spend them all in physical therapy later in your life.. and probably more that what you can collect right now.
sounds bad, it's really bad.
I went through that 8 years ago, and the issues are still with me (I'm 34 now)

Wow. I've had similar injuries resulting from being rear ended years ago that still haunt me. The pain is bearable, but annoying.

Sorry to hear about what happened and I hope things work out for you.

Had an accident last November (not in my car - was passenger in a friends car) and just went through about 2 months of Physio, IDD traction and MUA.

It's a nightmare that is only just going away as I've finished all the above, but I know I might have issues in the future.

Definitely get yourself seen too - X-Rays or an MRI or something at the minimum.

I know the stretch of road you mean, and think that Houston driving standards are ridiculous... half the people I think have not done a test or any level of competancy.
