I guess, but for the price differnce which I think is about 400 between getting it repaired and replaced, I might just get a new one in a year or so. I have one big crack, and little gashes all over various parts of it. It kills me to look at it

... but the good news is that I am more care free when driving the car now, and will probably lower my times at the track too because I am not as concerned about dinging it up anymore. If I got a new one I would stop Auto Xing

Anyone know how much a new sideskirt is painted?

where can you buy a new front end if its damaged severely....considering that the nismo was a limited production car so they might not have the parts at every dealer if they dont make them anymore. And could any shop repair the damages done to them? Im just worried that i would damage it and there would be no where to purchase a new nismo front end cuz they dont make the cars anymore.

Help me out

I have a red nismo. I'm a ase and icar certified painter and bodyman. the reality with the oem front bumper is 1720.00 replaced, painted and installed. period. not for less, only more, depending on the body and paint time rates in your area. only replace it with the oem one. theres not one aftermarket one made that fits right. also the bottom of the bumper has a hard plastic skid plate. if you nailed it enough to crack the oem paint, then look again. the paint is 3.1 mils thick. when those show a crack, its all the way through the plastic. its not abs plastic either. no drp shop will repair it. repairs carry a lifetime warranty from drps to dealerships. I had to replace my front bumper after my neighbors daughter backed her car into it. it looked like it was a minor crack, but after removing the bumper, it was all the way through. theres no plastic welding rods that are of the same material. 3m doesn't make any soft or hardset epoxies for the nissan bumper. sure, you can make a repair, but after sitting in the sun for a month, the repair will show. don't let some nimrod tell you that those spider cracks are just in the gelcoat. its a oem bumper, theres no gelcoat. gelcoat is used on aftermarket fiberglass and carbon fiber kits. not plastic. theres my rant for today. do it right. that 500 buck bumper, if it fits, after figuring in the paint time, the body time, then the materials time, its still 1700 bucks. that side skirt is 1400 bucks. nothings cheap on that one. also, all parts are availible for it, even that cool limited edition plaque. mine was replaced.

Sorry the proof is above. It only costs $460 and only $250 to have painted and installed.

$460 + $250 = $710.

That is what I was quoted locally at a bodyshop. Anyone who wants to get ripped off trust the guy above. The one above is OEM btw.

+1, I've gotten similar quotes, because I, too, have some dings on my front bumper. The highest quote I got was still sub-$1000. When I look to garage my car for good, I'll probably have the bumper replaced and sell the original to someone with a little time who wants to fix the dings for next to nothing.

$ 250 for paint

If the paint is that cheap, I would not go near it!!

I only use body shops that using only best paint DuPont!

And trust me with that paint with labor its going run you way more then $250.

$250 sound like cheap crap MAACO go take your NISMOz to MAACO and let them *** up your front bumper.

Nope, the front diffuser is underneath the front bumper. It is extra. And I'm with above on the paint. $250 for paint plus the bumper is two tone? Sounds like crappy paint to me.
