Default height of nismo

yo i heard that nismos have difficulties with how low the front end of the car is....people say it would hit any speed bumps and any sort of hill when going up them. Do you nismo owners experience any difficulties with how low the front end is??

It is low but I have not hit the front on any speed bumps.. Common sense and caution required.

I scraped a few times when I first got it, it's the lip more so than the height that causes problems.

You'll have to angle it when you pull in.

The Nismo is definitely not low, but the bumper extends out a bit which causes the problems. You might scrape at times, but you'll get use to driving it.

You will definitly scrape sooner or later, but usually its just the underbody of the splitter, not the grey painted part.

As long as you angle your car you should be ok. The bumper is actually quite flexible so if you go very slowly it should have enough flexiblity to move around a bit when it scrapes so it will not crack.

Actually I have an issue getting in my driveway as well and on some crazy height speed bumps getting on an AF base. The resolution to the driveway issue was to place small patio blocks (temporary solution as they do break apart after a while) that basically were just enough to lift the front end before it scraped--my driveway is up and the road is down so I ended up with a V which causes the problem. These rather huge speed bumps are another issue that I can't figure out other than using another gate.

I am dropped on Tein's with 4" of ground clearance. Go slow and at an angle and you will be fine.

Everytime I drive in my apartment building parking garage I have to pull in at a funky angle or I scrape the bottom of the car (not the front). Never had any problems with speed bumps...some driveways I just have to park at the bottom and thats that.

It will crack. I have done it already thanks to some railroad tracks that I hit a bit too hard and flexed my bumper and cracked the paint on the side of it. The Clearbra is the only thing holding it together now in that spot.

Eventually I will have to get it redone, just not the funds right now. But when I do, I am considering filling in the Nissan emblem spot.

seems like a lot of people have some bruises, especially with the front bumper over the first year or 2 of owning their car. Maybe we can set up a group buy somewhere down the line from a supplier for unpainted Nismo bumpers.

I think after this season of Auto X depending on how my car holds up I might just give in and buy a new bumper and passanger side, side skirt, which have both taken quite a beating.

I think even though the paint may have cracked and such, the body kit on the Nismo is one of the most solid on the market. I always drive by honda's and their kits look like they have been hit by a firing squad, with all kinds of chips, dents, and cracks

When I brought my car by my local autobody shop he was so impressed with the body kit because he said out of all the cars that come into my shop, you can tell this one was made for the car because it fits perfectly and is actually under warranty.

No reason to buy a new one. It can be repaired.
