Default Cracks in Nismo Splitter/Fascia

So I noticed today that on the front fascia (terminology might not be quite right) that I have cracks forming on both the right and left side. Also, there appears to be something amiss as a small plastic piece (on both sides) seems to be out of place and it looks like it should be tucked inside. This I think is causing the problem.

First picture is just to locate where I'm at on the car.

I did a quick search and didn't find any posts pop up quickly so I was wondering if anyone else had this issue? I have grazed the bottom of the fascia but I don't think that's the issue as there seems to be quite a bit of play/flex in it. Thoughts?

A bunch of us have some cracks in the bumper man. No worries, really. It's to be expected when your car has a big nose.

It's that protruding metal part that causes it.
If you scrape the front lip it pushes into the metal,
and causes the cracks. My lip was severely damaged by
that same thing at the stealership during an oil change.
The stealership did fix it, amd repaint it for free.

for those of you that have these cracks can you recall scraping the bottom of the lip somewhere along the line?

Oh hell yeah. My parents have a steep driveway and I scraped the hell out of it when I went to see them.

I park on the street now.

So I guess I'm not going to worry too much about this. However, I'll probably take a dremel tool to it and relieve a little of the material so as to prevent further cracking from the contact problem with that piece in back of it.

After you check for cracks, start checking for rust from a bad weld job on the body inside the door close to the round black (stopper or sensor).I've seen it on two 07's so far.

I literally have to be right up against it or down on my knees with my head cocked sideways to see it.

No one else will notice it other than you.

Same problem. You hit some parking stops or something which caused the bumper underparts to raise and cut into the bumper.

My passenger side is the same way sadly.

Thanks for the tip, guys. My Nismo is only a month old and I haven't scraped the front end on anything yet. With those cracks, I will be extra careful not to park too near curbs or concrete parking stops.

Damn, glad I'm not the only one. I hit some rubber off of a Semi trailer on the highway and it did that to my bumper. Really sucks!

for those who scraped, how hard was it?
i have scraped on driveways and cant find anything wrong, except scratches under the bumper...
the triangle rubber piece on each side are still far away from touching the bumper, and they have a good amount of play...

sorry to see that on your guys rides...

I've hit mine hard more than a few times on inclines and driveways and such, and I have to say that splitter holds up pretty well underneath.

It usually only scratches the underbody of the splitter, which you cant see anyways.

However if you hit something dead on, like a curb, or a cone or other debris the vibration may crack the side of splitter, by the front wheels
