Default 8k miles and all 4 tires showing outside wear

Hey Nismo owners, anyone experiencing this issue? The outside of all 4 of my tires are worn out more than the inside. I have 8k miles and there is 60% tread left on the inside tread but 40% on the outside. Anything I can ask the dealer to do? What are most of you members getting for mileage before having to change tires?

what are your driving tendencies? if you are an aggressive driver, you will wear out your tires more quickly

Get your alignment checked?

I remember reading somewhere that once the cars hit the dealerships from the factory, they are aligned at the dealership. Bear in mind that the alignment machines used by the stealerships may not be calibrated correctly, resulting in a false alignment and premature tire wear.

Perhaps check your tire pressures.

The REO50A's are only good for like 9K, or so I've read. I kept mine on til about 13k, and I was riding on dangerously bald and chunked tires. I like to think I got my moneys worth, seeing as I didn't crash or anything.

wrong

It really depends on your driving habits. I daily drive about 300-400 miles per week, and I have so far about 22,500 miles on the odo. And I am still on the factory REO50A's. Some people who track/auto-x a lot may barely see more than 12k out of them..

That sounds odd that the outside is wearing more than the inside especially due to the fact that the Z has an aggressive negative camber setting, so I have read.

I was going to say its an alignment issue but since its all 4 tires, sounds like the camber could have been set positive instead of negative.

I'm going on 15,000 miles with the stock Potenza's and I think they still have quite a bit of life left in them. I have done one auto x and drive the car pretty hard otherwize, and they seem to be holding up well.

That is simply amazing. I guess roads in Texas are made of marshmallows.

Also, you must have at least had your tires rotated, which isn't an option that's available to Nismo drivers. Seeing as this is the Nismo section, I gave a Nismo answer. No rotating severely decreases treadlife. I'm amazed at anyone who can get over 12 (and I'm being generous) and still have 5/32 tread in the back.

No I had absolutely no rotations done. I had no alignment done either. I just make sure my tire pressure is around 34-36 psi.

What the ****. Must be a Texas thing... or a Jersey thing. I didn't make it past 14k, and at that point they were ****ed.

Replaced my rears with less than 8k miles on the car. Now have 285/30zr19 michelin ps2's and do not plan to get more than 8k out of them. Its the nature of the beast uhp summer tire = poor treadlife.

Rotating is not an opption on the Nismo. Neg. camber wears inside,Pos. wears outside.

My dad replaced my rears after they blew out on him on city street...

this is after we took it to the stealership due to a nail in tire...there was alot of thread left. It's better to replace rather than patch it up...Lord knows what would of happen if he was flying on the highway...

He foot the bill only cause he had her for two months as a DD so I figure it was only right since I was in school...

EDIT: this was around 109XX
