Default Painted Doorhandle??

I was curious if anyone has had their doorhandles painted to match the car color? I was just wondering if this would help with the break up of the "lines" of the car. If so, I'd like to see pics and/or get your thoughts. Thanks!

I like the look of the painted blacked out handles. I have considered doing this to my car as well but no matter how good the quality of the paint or application is.... Its going to CHIP! I have seen several Z's with this result. Sucks... Someone needs to patent and fuse some black handles. I'd order a pair. Hell yeah

I had a body shop paint my door handles matte black over two years ago and they have never chipped, or giving me any problems.... maybe those people didnt have the door handles prepped right or they tried to just spray paint them.... automotive paint wouldnt chip any more so than the paint on the body of your car or wheels if prepped right...

I thought powder coating uses an electric static charge to apply the paint.... so how would you do that to plastic?

Powdercoating is not going to happen on these handles. Anodizing (mentioned above) is for aluminum. Again, it's plastic.

You need to have a body shop paint it so there is enough flex mixed into the paint just like you'd paint a bumper. (Since the door handle will deform slightly during opening.) Clear coat over it after it's done.

I'm planning to have it done as well.
