i would send you the info if i had it on me. i am currently in bahrain until october. the info is in my car with the brake reciept. i can say that i did talk directly with brembo. i got the number off the brembo websight. i had a pretty long conversation with them. in the end they hooked me up with the front and rear monoblock caliper setup. they said that it would be better than the performance of the GTR brake setup.

i like the idea of putting the GTR brakes on a 350z for the looks. when it comes to anything safety related on a car i am very cautious when trying to make things work. the brakes are very important. if you do get them installed they will be mounted with brackets that are not tested in any way. and modifying the other parts of the suspension or hub could cause unwanted or premature wear of the components, even possible failure.

another thing they mentioned to me was that if you changed out the front brakes you would have to change the rear also, or the bias would be all messed up. so putting front 6 piston brakes on would make it required to install a 4 piston setup anyway.

it was just way more cost effective to use the kit i bought.

Car manufacturers dont put the best they can on the car. If companies like brembo put the best system on factory cars they would loose a lot of money in aftermarket sales.

the same is true with the nismo, sure it is better than a stock z but it isnt the best you can do, its an improvement that the customer is willing to pay for.

most people wouldnt spend 60000 on a nismo, even if the suspension, brakes, rims and tires, exhuast and computer tuning were already done. it would just seem crazy when you can get a bmw or something nicer for that price. but as you notice on this forum, there are a lot of people who are willing to spend 40000 on the car and than do that much money in upgrades if not more.
the body kit is the most expensive if you like it.... But the varis pieces are cheaper, and would do the same thing pretty much.

The welded seams is the most crucial part. And actually if you know a good welder, and take off some body panels you can have it done. Not sure on price, but sure you could do it for less then $1500.

The NISMO z rear wheels are too heavy.

With the exception of the welding and body kit, since you put on new wheels, all the other nismo parts can be purchased. Most people I know that have NISMOs hate the fender gap, and lower the car anyways. It sits higher then a stock z.

So like someone commented on earlier, why buy it if you change all the performance upgrades.. You really paid a premium just for seam welding, and the body kit. But since you got it for just a little more then a base model, its a good.

But good luck with the mods, should be a sweet ride. post some pics when you get home..
