same with my 03 oem rays but it doesnt mean theyre worth more than aftermarket Volks. Aftermarket Volks come with better offsets and are wider. The TE37 are lighter too

So let me get this straight...You guys would pay over 2 grand for rims that are on say 1500 cars???? When does it become "special" to own NISMO rims...when everyone has them? I say get some sick *** Volks...Then when you come by people won't be thinkin oh it's just stock like everyone else.

You guys do realize that it looks identical to the grand touring rims, but the Nismo one have a line down every spoke and the GT has three dots...

..Again when does it become "cool"?? My .02

I purchased Volks to save weight aka rotating mass at the wheels. Not to mention I wanted something rare and unique that screamed mean!

My Rays sit in the garage taking up space with less then 1500 miles on them. I'd rather keep them, then give them away...

Elan stop hatin cause your riding around on Base rims. lol Hurry up & upgrade & get some Volks then. Cough up that Cash

Constantly throughout this thread, it is stated that one should get Volk rims instead of the Nismo rims that come stock. If I am not mistaken, the Nismo rims are produced by Mackin Industries which produces both Rays Engineering (Nismo wheels), Volks and Gram Lights.

It is the tone that the Rays Engineering wheels are not nearly as good as a set of Volks, but they are the same. If you would prefer to have a set of Volks that may look better on the car than the ones that come on it, then say that.

The wheels that come on the Nismo look awesome and really compliment the car. It adds to the "flow" of the car and not one component of the car detracts from aniother. When you start changing that, chances are, something is going to start standing out and then the clean look is often destroyed. Personally, I have not come caross another set of rims that LOOK better on the nismo. Yes, some are lighter but the stock ones look great.

Just my opinion.

Yes we know RAYs and Volks are the same...But 2k for stock rims? So you can say the same thing about the look of the GT rims too right?

Yes, one could say that. As far as the Nismo rims go, the color of the rims allow them to flow with the car and the color of the kit. If the rims were any other color, they would stand out too much. IMO

I agree with you about the color. It is very unique and matches the bodykit well. Look at the Japanese version...the rims are a lot like the stock color and quite gross!

Isn't Mackin just the distributor here in the states? All those rims are made by RAYS Engineering.

Honestly, I love my NISMO rims, but I would prefer some WORKs.

I'm about to put mine up for sale next week when I get back to the states. No reason to let them sit around collecting dust.

Yes, that is understood. The question is not whether they are like/unlike the GT rims. The question is do the rims look awesome on the car and are they of high quality? IMO, yes!

The price of something is only what someone is willing to pay.

If my car did not already come with these rims and I was looking for a set of 18's for the front and 19's for the rear that looked good, I would definately buy these wheels for 2k. Look around and see what other wheels, of the same size and quality, cost. Im sure it will be more than 2k. That is my point.

If you dont get that then I have nothing further to say.
