Well Solo, the dyno started to smoke after each run i would make. Just watch the video. But i don't want to make excuses. To me, the car feels like it has more power than just 261whp. I also drive a Camaro with a 454 in it, so i know what real muscle feels like. But i'm not an expert to decide and compare power.

NismoZ_840... There are 5 total Nismos in Colorado. I have not had a chance to meet you or "Beta (red nismo colo. spgs.) because i havent gone to a CONOC meet in a while. The rest of the guys i know personaly. Hope to meet you soon.

But back on subject, Solo, a made sure the car shop did a pull in both 5th and in 4th.

5th gear rendered 259whp

4th gear rendered 262whp

But from what NismoZ_840 says (and what i've also researched) yes, 3% air density is lost for every 1000ft you move up in elevation. I don't mean to do "ricer math" here, but 5,280ft in elevation (Denver) would render a loss of 16%.... thats equivalent to a 42whp loss due to elevation. There for mathematically putting my whp at 304 ponies at sea level.... Take it as you wish. Just putting it out there.

But from the actual numbers that were putt down without the intervention of ricer math, "i'm happy with 262whp" :-)

altitude definately will make a difference. Good numbers for 5000+ feet though.

If you were on 225, that was me. Good to "meet" you! I've seen three Nismos in Denver in person, now. Yours (silver), a guy I saw a few months back on 225 also (white) and a Colorado Z Car Club member I met last year, who had a red 2007 Nismo.

Back on topic:
15-20% lower WHP is the expectation at Denver's altitude (when compared to sea level). I'd call a 9.2% increase in power pretty significant for those mods. Congrats!

I think there are at least three more than that in Colorado:

There's mine (I haven't hooked with the CONOC guys since last year)

There's another "used" black Nismo that Boulder Nissan had for sale last spring

There's is a white Nismo that belongs to a Nissan dealer up in Ft. Collins. I know this becasue my Nismo (bought from Tynan's in Aurora) was traded for the white one right after shipping, so that the Ft. Collins dealership's owner could add the white Nismo to his "collection of white Z cars".

Nice results on the dyno -- congrats again!

Yeah, theres a white Nismo in Highlands Ranch, Red in Thorton, Red in Colorado Spgs, Silver in Lakewood, Silver NismoZ-840, The white one Empire Nissans owner owns, and two other black ones i´ve seen in town....

Does that seem accurate to us Colorado guys?

Hey Clark, glad to run into you on 225! Funny thing was I was following a PPW Z when I just caught a glimpse of you a short bit up the road. Wasn't sure at the time if was a Nismo or not, so glad traffic broke up enough to catch up. I'm John by the way (aka NismoZ_840).

I think some people at CO Nissan Owners Club (conoc.net) have spotted you as well in the area.

Any plans to track or autocross? I plan to hit the SCCA Solos in Aug, imagine Eric with the white Nismo will be there. Saw he was at the Eagle Solo here last weekend (video below).
