WOW - not a whole lot of visible damage. Hard to believe that was totalled. Must be some serious problems elsewhere.

I have been working this auction. Pricing is good. I agree that there
seems to be a piece missing from the damage puzzle. Can someone
run the VIN through Nissan service records? I would like to know if
there was an earlier issue predating the relatively light damage.

The reserve is $13.9k. Hmmm...

That's the $64,000 question. I'd ask for a copy of the repair estimate as obviously somebody has seen what it will cost to make it whole again - and decided it's not worth it.

multiple deployed airbags... The damage isn't all cosmetic. Never the less, good pricing for a bodyman project.

Stop by or call your local dealerships - most are willing to give you the details on the repair history. I did that last year with a car my wife was looking at. The repair history was real ugly so needless to say we passed on that one.

I have a feeling there is a latent frame issue. Considering the ULTRA low price point
that HAS to be the case. Of course, the nismo is also spot welded throughout, hence,
if one panel has crumpled, it's likely those connected have taken some damage too.

I am thinking about buying the car, doing a thorough site inspection on a lift the day
after auction close, and making a purchase decision then.///

I asked the seller to send a damage report. I also asked about any frame damage. He replied there is none that is known. What do you think 5k to fix the car if it is cosmetic?

I also found a silver nismo on cars.com for 20k.

Lgear whats your name on SFZCC?

Chris

buy-it-now for $14,500 theres got to be something seriously wrong with it, or they really want to get rid of it.

Nothing that wrong with it...

What do you guys honestly think a used nismo, that has had that much damage repaired, is worth? 20K tops. So you buy the car for $14K, spend another $5K repairing it minimum, probably more than that, and you have a car that is worth exactly what it cost you.

Now if the car was selling for 9K or something, that would be a great deal.

Before anyone gets bent outta shape, a basically brand new 08 nismo, with under 1000 miles, is worth less than 30K right now. A used 07 that has had half of the car rebuilt including airbags, is not a 30K car.

The ultimate issue is... You'll have a salvage title post repair.
Chris... Pm me if you wanna get in touch. The seller is lying about frame
damage or something else. He has done so previously. Check his fb.

I feel the same way regarding what you typed below..however dealers dont seem to think so..I have contacted just about every dealer in the US that has a '08 Nismo and the are very stubborn about the 350z Nismo price..

Currently they are only knocking like 5-6K off the sticker..and that still leaves you on the plus side of 30.
