Stock Nismo with stock mid pipe aftermarket y-pipe and test pipes/HFC
Sounds just a mean!
Lakeside! Brother! leave the lake alone for an hour lol! Nothing wrong with going to a milder setup since your not pushing your car as much!
John H. Welcome!

The stock exhaust should flow nicely with the secondary cat cut out. Weld in a straight pipe in it's place. I wouldn't expect to loose to much performance. If anything torque should increase due to an increase in back pressure.
All the dual exhaust systems make power up top! If your not boosted your WTQ #'s suffer.
I still like the sound of the HKS but at my shift point it's to loud for me I think. Typical exhaust system as they break in. I like to shift around 4000-4500 rpm. Once above 4000 rpm it's pretty loud. Sounds bad ***! Still nice and deep. But their is some drone.

On Borla's site it says it doesn't fit.

Hmmm, the only difference in our exhausts and early 350's are the downpipes, Y pipes and exhaust manifolds. Past the Y pipe back they are all interchangeable, I believe. I don't see why it wouldn't fit.

I do but its a fly by so you mostly hear the road noise and the intake. But you can watch it if you want.
