Is this a good deal for a new nismo?
There is a brand new 2008 nismo around my area. The dealership who used to own the nismo went bankrupt so the car was sitting in the lot for a year untouched, and now they are finally selling it again. After talking to the dealer for a few times they are offering it to me for 31k (tax, title and fees not included). What do you guys think? I have searched around but most threads are about used nismos so its hard to compare. The dealer listed it online for 31,999 (plus an additional 650 for destination fee) so 32599. I forgot to mention the dealer installed the nismo intake in the car, and they said the intake would cost around 750 which they will include in the deal.

great price depending on how many miles are on it. I think I paid that much for mine and it had maybe 30 miles on it when I got it.
Also I think that you will find that most people on this forum would agree that the best intake for the nismo is the factory one so dont' let them sell you on an "upgraded" intake. Tell them you want the stock one put back on if you buy it which should lower the price $750 lol.
good luck bro you will not regret it. Also Kelly blue book the car and you will be happy with the price they are selling it for

It's listed for $31,995 but that doesn't mean that's how much you need to pay for it. Definitely try and get some money off of it. I bought my Nismo last summer, brand new with about 14 miles on it for $32k.
If you look, there is an '08 White Nismo with 2,930 miles listed at $29,995 in Lake Bluff.
Honestly, I would rather save the $2,000 and get the white used one with low mileage. You can probably pick it up for even less than the $29,995. The money saved you can use to put a bigger down payment down, or use it for modifying the Nismo.
If you are really set on getting the black Nismo with 150 miles, make sure you talk them down in price. Don't let them see that you really want it and let them know you looked at the white Nismo in Lake Bluff. Tell them that you actually prefer the white, and with the way the economy has been you'd rather save a couple thousand and get that since it has low mileage and is practically new as well.
Either way, when you go to any dealership be prepared. Take someone with you, it helps not being alone. You're going into war and they're gonna have all their troops so you need some support on your side. They're gonna play hard ball and likely won't budge on price too much. Don't give in and remember you can always walk out cause their are other Nismo's to be had.

Just purchased mine with 233 miles for 26,900 as used with MCO so my state considered new. I don't have original window sticker, but that was ok. Dealer had it for almost 8 months and wanted to get rid of it. I found it all over the internet with a YouTube that is still up with its asking price of 35,900.
Bargaining always helps - don't return their calls - touch base with them every couple of weeks - talk about all the cars in the running (I was seriously considering M3, M Roadster, MX-5, Viper) based on bang for the buck. Just don't be eager - don't fall in lust - has the discipline to walk away - there is always something better. Plus nothing is selling right now. There are a lot a black for sale right now so think about the price drop to used if you had to sell. Buy the color you want. Heck, use this info with the dealer.
Hope this helps.

I think that is a great price. You should buy it.
Coincidentally, I saw a brand new, black 2008 Nismo at the Autobarn when i was going to pick up my 2010 Roadster. My friend was eying it and started asking questions but the dealer said it was sold. Of course if the buyer decides not to purchase the car, I think my friend will jump on it.
Are they throwing in anything special for you? Are you trading in a car and if so, how much are they offering? The deal you're getting on the Nismo is good enough but are they offering you anything else?

Do not use KBB! Kelly Blue Book is garbage and their prices are WAY off. Use Edmunds TMV (True Market Value). MUCH more accurate pricing. I wish my car was worth what KBB lists it at, but that's not the case. True Market Value people!

I'll be chasing a NISMO 370Z around Laguna Seca in 3 days, so we'll see just how well it does. I know the non-NISMO 370Z rocked - I drove it (Thunderhill). The NISMO made 288rwhp/238rwtq in stock form on a relatively conservative dyno, then made 295/241 after simple JWT POP charger. I want to get it on the scale to have a good comparison to my own Z. I think the NISMO is going to rock, and the driver is a friggin' nut. Thankfully, Z Car Garage installed their V2 oil cooler, which is a necessity for the 370s (the NISMO should have come with one stock, as well as an upgraded LSD).
