I don't know about stomping it but it would definitely make for a fun ride. Plus the headaches that come with FI.

Damn it, I'm still thinking about buying one. How low is the chin spoiler on the front of the nismo and how far is it away from the two front wheels? I have a killer incline on my driveway that the vette barely clears.

The car is in my garage but after a 65hr week I am to lazy togo out there with the measuring tape!!!

A GTM kit is the Shizznit.... No issues no headaches! It will STOMP the sh*t out of any Vette Unless you have a 110 grand for a Zr1

If you can afford a Zr1 vette and I highly doubt it That would be the car to own. Now if you come up short and are in the 70-90K range then my all means get the GTR!

I thought your car was lowered?

I'm just curious? With the GTM kit is the car capable of getting into the 10's (stock z06's have done it so I'm just wondering)?

Can some measure the inches between the lip and the ground? Also, can someone measure from the front of the lip to the very front of the wheels. Thanks.

Thank you very much. As it stands now my vette's chin is about 6 inches from the ground and 22 inches from the tires. Chit. That could cut it real close. Anybody near the Katy area feel brave enough to come test it? Six pack on me.

you are the biggest homer of all nismo homers. 9 psi on a HR is gonna be right around 500whp maybe a bit less. rofl @ 525 to 550whp. at 550whp you have a chance vs a C6 Z06 in a quarter mile drag. on the freeway on a roll race, the Z06 would still pull.

Nexx you truely are the biggest loser of them all on these boards!

A stage II kit with supporting mods has proven to produce 500-525 WHP on 9-10psi boost. With Cams you can will easily be at or above 550 whp.

Go be a Troll else where! Hate DB's..... I'm sure your on half the site's ignore list by now. If not, then you should be.

you fail at life, spout your bs homerism all you want. why dont you stop talking the talk and walk the walk. i dont care wtf other cars are doing, wtf does your car run?

edit: light bolt on mods and tune Z06's will stomp any non built HR cams or no cams.

edit a second time: if you would some research stock Z06 commonly hit low 11's. ive seen one z06 with stock tires and cat back exhuast almost break into the 10's. iand in some rare occurances they can hit 10's stock. go look at the list of the fastest quarter mile times in drag forums. you only see highly built Z with slicks or drag radials acheive these kind of numbers and you think a stock block HR could? ROFL. im not a troll, i just have some common sense and dont spout homeristic garbage like you. and in all honesty, Z06's are better at high end runs then they are at the quarter mile. they have really long gears that allow you to stretch out the power curve for a long time. thats where they shine, yet still a stock Z06 will stomp most built Z's, let alone stock block Z's.

Here we go again. I wouldn't boost the nismo anyway so the point is moot. The thing about the vette is there are a million of them out there so it's not like I couldn't pick one up in the future again. If I get sick of the nismo (most likely) I could sell it and go pick up a z06 probably at better price than I could today. However, let's say I really like the nismo and keep it. It's not worth chit now but years down the road it's exclusivity might make for collectors item one day.So no matter which way I go it's a win win (besides the lack of power and the cops following me everywhere, LOL).

Drove a nismo today. It was fun but no vette. Looks like I will be going the z06 route. Thanks for everyone's input.

1 thing to think about. If you have issues with 5in clearance what are you going to do with a zo6? Mine is less than 3 in. Just something to think about. I had to fill in my entrance to my garage to get the car in without dragging . Also the zo6 loves real high speeds much better than my supercharged 350 roadster. I have had mine up to 193 in a mile and a half from a dead stop without a strain .
