How many others on the road have you seen?

Well - yea - happy for both of us when a blue 05 (guess) with tinted windows and AM wheels pulled up and gave me the Nod. I was happy I was driving the Nismo and I for him drooling over my car.
I don't feel bad because that is why I bought it. Fun to drive and be seen in

+1 on that. South Florida is loaded with nice cars...I see two new gt-r owners driving down pines all the time now, and I've seen waaayy more lambos and ferraris than nismos for sure especially around south beach.

wow, as rare as they are there are atleast 5 with in 10 miles of my house. I dont live in a major metropolitan area either. I am about an hour and 15 min from DC. I see a Nismo almost as much as I do regular model z's. But the funny thing is I have never seen one at a local show, only time I have seen one at a show was at AAM's spring show last year.

Nismo's are cool for the rarity and for the people who actually race them. But to say they look better. To each thier own. Personally, I love the front fasia, white face tach, box welded frame, and dampers. But the rest of the car lacks. Crappy seats and radio. Ugly rear bumper (to open), and over the top wing.
The funniest thing is that alot of owners think the entire car is a supercar. The entire drive train, and the entire exhaust (except the muffler itself) are the same as a base model. But the true intention of the car is the coolest thing, a true factory road race car. PPW is the only color I have yet to see in person. That would be my favorite.

I've only ever seen one in my life and it was parked. This was before I actually owned one myself. I daily drive mine a lot. Have put 15k miles on it so far and have never run into one....I'm in Oregon, go figure. But, honestly, I love it. Everyone thinks it's some custom Z that I put a lot of $$ into. It is nice being able to stand out while owning a stock vehicle.

the other day i went with my girl to go do her taxes and a bunch of people were standing around this 350z that had like chrome rims n i guess the owner was there and they were admiring the car, but when i pulled into the parking lot all eyes on me! i would have never bought a regular Z the nismo was what won me over, or else I would have just bought a bmw or lexus

I would love to be the guy next to you Then I would get to see the only attractive part of your car, the front bumper

Where the hell did you get the "supercar" thing from? I have yet to see any nismo owner bragging the nismo up to a supercar standard

Supercar is not what meant. I dont know why I wrote that. What I meant was that I have read several Nismo owners making comments or remarks about why the Nismo is so superior to other z's. Now I understand performance, for that the Nismo is very cool! But to read that regular z owners are drooling at Nismo's. That was just funny to me. The baddest 350's I have ever seen were not Nismo's. But I do agree that the baddest factory Z ever is the 07-08 Nismo 350! The rest was just personal opinion. I am not the only person that thinks the rear bumper and wing are a bit much! But to each thier own. Again, I am not putting down the Nismo in anyway. I considered trading my 06 in for one, but in the end it just wasnt what I wanted. The performance and rarity aspect wasnt enough to get me to do it.

NO DISRESPECT TO ANYONE!

I would hate to say it, but if anything I find regular Z owners who take the time to come to this particular forum do little more than bash the aesthetics or discuss how the package wasn't worth it, completely unprovoked.
The split here is very diverse, many use there cars for track/autox only and spirited driving to the point of those who have yet to track it, and drive it daily...
I have no idea where this attitude of elitism came from, the only thing that can be said for certain is based on your location, there's not many around seems to be the general consensus.
You certainly wouldn't be the first to bash the fascia/wing and general rear area, nor will you be the last... the nismo was built to be functional, it is a functional part of the design with mixed aesthetical subjective appeal... that opinion, as it such, holds no validity... if you wanted to buy the car for the aesthetics, of course if it bothered you you just... wouldn't buy it .
As with all bold statements, you tend to either love em or hate em... so lets just put that to rest lol.
I'm from Toronto Canada... I've seen a red one parked at Yorkdale (large mall) and a PPW at APH (tuning place)... never seen one on the road, I think there are only 3-4 in the province.

NISMO 350Z>THE REST OF THEM
thats why its more money $ plain and simple
u want your 350z as nice? or same quality handling? you still gotta spend more.
I am sure that if anyone in this forum had the option to get the nismo over any other 350z for the same price both stock, i am sure most would choose the nismo
When i see a 350z on the street unless its hooked up nice i think nothing of it, they are nothing special, the nismo on the other hand
and dont put a front saying the 350z looks better stock than nismo or anything like that cause then your just lying to yourself.

Mistanismo, you think because I live in WV I never see Nismo's! Obviously you misjudged my location. I see them alot. There are atleast 5 with in 10 or 15 miles from my house. There was even a couple on here that had two of them! Both black, liscensed his z and her z. Like I wrote before there are almost as common here as regular z's. A dealer in Hagerstown MD (about 10 miles from my house sold 3 of them). I feel bad for the rest of the nation that never sees them. Anyways, you say that I am bashing the Nismo, then obviously you didnt read all of what I wrote. I dont normally venture into the Nismo section but the title thread caught my eye when I logged onto the furom section. I dont hate on anyones car!!!!!!! You spent your hard earned money for it. But to state an opinion on certain aspects of the car is a fair and valid point. Im sure not every Nismo owner loves everything about the car.

To each thier own Klaze1! If you put a Nismo V.1 body kit on a track model car would 95% of the people care about the boxed frame? Who knows! But throw the fact that its a special edt (numbered car) into the mix and the attention draws to the Nismo. I like the look of the car from the front, the back is the problem. I know its all functional, but most people cant tell the difference in normal commuting. If you live in NYC and drive the car 5mph from light to light from one parking deck to another. Your not going to notice a big difference. It comes to ask why that person would buy a Nismo? Again, I am not bashing anyone or any car. We all love Z's in one shape or form.

Btw, the nismo Z doesn't doesn't have a "boxed frame", it's seamed welded, there's a difference.
