I've been putting off taking pictures for a while. I put the JDM clears several weeks ago and love them. I didn't want to take any pics until a proper and thorough detail on the car had been done though.
So last week I set to work correcting the car's paint. The previous owner should be slapped. It's pained me the entire month and half of ownership to see that paint in such condition...WAY below my standards...completely unacceptable. Once all was said and done, the depth in the paint was so delightful!![Smilie](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The Detail:
Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo
P21S wheel gel
Clay
Flex 3401
Menzerna IP on Orange pad
Menzerna FP on Gray pad
Optimum Final Finish on Blue pad
Wash
Collinite 845 wax (love this stuff)
P21S 100% carnauba (love this even more)
Before & After Pics [any of the "after" pics are after about 2 passes of of IP]

Stunning! That is amazing - I envy you guys who can detail like that. I bought myself the equipment and materials and am still so nervous to tackle the job. Those pictures are great too - the combo of the beautiful work and great photography make the car look like its sitting on my keyboard. ![thumbup](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/biggthumpup.gif)

With spring right around the corner, there's no time like the present. Don't be intimidated! Just read up a little on Autopia and get to it. You'll do fine.

Excellent work ginger, but holy are you right, that paint was in HORRIBLE condition for the age of the car... how many miles are on that? He must have automatic car washed that thing... weekly, jesus. Nothing causes swirls like THAT without other aesthetic damage.. what a moron, espesially considering the bodykit.
To anyone that's never done a full detail, I highly recommend you do one, if you're scared to try it on the nismo, use another one of your cars or a friends, but it's not hard... it's just rediculously time consuming if you're a perfectionist.
The real reason you should try is so you can appreciate it for what it is. That is... 6-7 hours by yourself no problem. If you did it in less, congrats, honestly.
