is the red thing near the pedal to lock the steering wheel? I didnt know people still used that/was still useful.

that is called an "autolock" and it doesn't attach to the steering wheel. It locks the clutch.

search youtube DB for ikeya shifter and u will see jnefic i think and luie or whatever his name is. Pretty cool but unless i was strong out on drag racing or racing in general i dont need it

looks like a cool shifter, but i could agree on the it being unnecessary for a DD. OP, do you track your car or anything?

Its basically a sequential shifter. In other words it converts your standard H-pattern shift into a simple up and down movement to shift gears. This would probably make it easier and faster to shift for more efficient driving. Good mod for track use but I'm not liking the bulky look.

that video is a sequential transmission, he's not using the clutch. big difference there.

Hey Robert, haven't taken it out on the track yet but it works great. Bit of a learning curve when shifting. Took about 2 plus hours to install. All the instructions were in japanese...

haha well I hope to see you @ the next SOW events whenever that is. I was always intrigue by this mod. but don't know much folks who played with them. I know you are still playing with it so I hope to hear more personal review from you soon.

does it go to the 6th gear, on youtube they were only going up to 5th?
