Bro... stay safe on your deployment. I bought my Z a couple years ago for similar reasons. My car is currently on stand awaiting being repaired. Father inlaw was trying to convince me to get another used car because of the price tag that I want to spend to fix the Z right. Until I have the money it will sit where it is. I have gotten rid of too many projects over the years for my family. It really bums me out with it sitting there but at least it is still available for future plans. I wish you the best. If you need an ex army guy to talk to feel free to pm me.

Hey man , didn't have time to type a response the other day!

I hear you and appreciates the sentiments !

This little civic is sweet and I've already priced out all the wrong things to do it! I'm holding back anything over $300 for this car as I want to funnel my little allowance to the Z!

Still have big plans for it...but I'm might be heading to Japan next year !

I know of a guy locally that served with the air force out of Japan, said it was his all time favorite duty stations. Hope everything works out and please keep your chin up.

So...what an emotional roller coaster 2016 has been ! Moved to Washington state to only move agin finally to SoCal! Lots of stressful moments...thank you Uncle Sam, for putting me and my family through the ringer !

I can literally write a book on our time, a family of 5 living in a hotel for 2 months...constant CHAOS!!!

Rather let's high light the bright side !

Re-enlisted for the Last 6 years ! I can feel it...it takes a toll on you. The countless deployments, trying to raise family the constant moving, and the thousands of dollars wasted during it all!

I finally purchased a home (4br 3ba 2196sq ft) for my family... if you read the whole thread you've seen the several times I've moved and always I tried to make it a home. Always kept the garage as nice as possible...this time oh boy it's about to be extravagant!

then we started it off with great mistakes ! First traded in the "13 Charger she proved to be a great family car and dodge with all the new promotions were giving away their "17 Scat Pack for less than I was paying already...so why not !

Then with #0191 being trapped in Hawaii, the decision to finally sell her had to be made. I have it parked at my in-laws place and it's an eye sore and various neighbors keep asking if its for sale and what's the deal! So a local shop owner offered to buy and it was the best deal as I get to keep a majority of the parts than to be lowballed and lose everything !

So now I own #1200, new Lin'da , I feel like Nicholas Cage from "Gone in 60 Seconds"....this time however we are going fulltime to project / street car !

This time a more adult pace, I'm on shore duty so the impulse buying and modding can be put to rest...no deployments for 3 yrs...let's relax and enjoy life.

Keep the party rolling...

Finally drove the Z to work today ! Wasn't missing the countless people attempting to race me and the unintentional subconscious notion of drivers to speed up as soon as they see me. Really night and day commute compared to my Honda. I however got a nice 28.5 miles per gallon on my 78 mile commute, can't be too mad.

So the car is a tad rough, current engine bay mood.

Removed OEM strut bar
Removed OEM rad strut bar
Removed 2 top side metal harness brackets

had my son inspect the m useless content.

sent off the title and keys to #0191, so just awaiting parts from #0191 to get #1200 up to speed!

Yeah round 2, it's a crazy feeling working on something again...remembering times with others during tedious installs and broken parts...it breaks my heart, my friends aren't around, some have passed away, and others have lost the fire for the car and for wrenching on cars....

I'm glad I still have my350z!

Sorry to hear you had to let the other z go, but congratulations on the new house, stable living for the family, a GARAGE, and of course a replacement z. I have been away alot since my z broke down, had to leave my job due to health, and looking at all the nice z's on here depress me so I just check in now and then. Hoping in the next few months to buy a IPP stage 2 long block. Tomorrow I am having a VA funded c5-c7 ACDF. Gonna be laid up a bit.
Anyway I wanted to welcome you back

2nd Son is now 1 ! The family life is something I'm happy to put the cars and my own personal interest 2nd to !

So where to start, things fell through with purchases and still haven't got all my parts from Hawaii !

So still whacking away at freshen up the car, cleaning and replacing rusted bolts and busted plastic clips !

brought some JDM power side mirros just to be fancy !

Snagged a set of the ever so popular Admintuning intakes !

Also picking up a set of AAM test pipes ! and a fancy little battery !

Lastly got some product information brochures that weren't distributed to owners, plan to keep it seal !

So again taking it super slow and really not rushing or settling for less on this car! With the AAM test pipes I'm contemplating just ditching the Tomei idea but we will see !

Love is still here

Default At a Glance: 2007 Nissan NISMO 350Z

For Release March 28, 2007

At a Glance: 2007 Nissan NISMO 350Z

For the first time ever in the Nissan Z’s 37-year history, a high-performance NISMO 350Z is part of the extensive Z lineup. The new 2007 Nissan NISMO 350Z features an extensively developed list of unique equipment – including a special body package and improved handling equipment. This new model, the fifth in the 2007 350Z Coupe lineup, is available with a 6-speed manual transmission only.
The most striking visual feature of this special vehicle is the NISMO aerodynamics package, which strongly resembles the Super GT championship winning Zs. Featuring an aggressive front fascia with chin spoiler, side skirts, an extended rear fascia with underbody diffuser and a rear wing, the NISMO 350Z produces additional aerodynamic downforce to provide enhanced cornering and handling performance.
Special consideration is given during assembly of the NISMO 350Z – structural rigidity is enhanced by the use of additional body welds to the already rigid 350Z body and additional supports have been added front and rear. The NISMO 350Z also utilizes special body dampers mounted in the front radiator core support and the rear cargo area, which assist in controlling body vibrations.
Additional performance features include a specially tuned independent multi-link suspension, Brembo brakes with four-piston front and two-piston rear calipers (with 12.8-inch front and 12.7-inch rear rotors) and special NISMO-branded gunmetal gray RAYS super lightweight forged-alloy wheels (18x9-inch front and 19x10-inch rear with 245/40WR18 front, 265/35WR19 rear Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires). The 2007 NISMO 350Z is scheduled to go on sale in July 2007.

Default NISMO-Developed Components and Special Edition Vehicles

For Immediate Release

NISMO Offers Nissan Owners Added Excitement Through

Vehicle Personalization and Enhanced Performance

– NISMO-Developed Components and Special Edition Vehicles
Now Available in United States Market –

NISMO (Nissan Motorsports International) was originally founded in Japan in 1984 and has established itself as the premier supplier of high-performance aftermarket parts and accessories for Nissan vehicles. A wholly owned subsidiary of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., NISMO also supports Nissan racers with parts and technical assistance.
The philosophy behind NISMO’s success has been bringing competition-developed and proven components to the street and track, with hundreds of products covering 15 different models, including current Nissan vehicles and vintage vehicles dating from 1984. NISMO’s extensive racing resume includes dominance of Super GT (formerly JGTC) racing in Japan, where it has won four drivers’ championships and four team championships since the series started in 1994 (the most by any group); a number of top-10 finishes at the 24 hours of Le Mans; and winning the overall title at the 24 hours at Daytona, the first-ever Japanese team to do so.
“NISMO provides products that enhance the experience for the customer in a way that adds to the emotional connection drivers feel with their vehicles,” said Vinay Shahani, director, Nissan Specialty Vehicle Group. “Through dependable, quality customization, NISMO products allow Nissan owners to create a driving experience that is truly their own.”

The extensive array of NISMO components designed for the 350Z, Altima, Sentra, Maxima, Titan, Frontier, Pathfinder, Armada and Xterra includes suspension pieces, wheels, cold air intakes, camshafts, performance exhausts, floor mats, shift *****, body kits, driveline parts and lifestyle accessories.
NISMO components in the U.S. are available in three categories - NISMO “S-tune,” which are intended for street driving and are backed by Nissan’s Parts and Accessory Limited Warranty, and up to 36 months/36,000 miles if installed at the time of vehicle purchase (see warranty and dealer for details); “R-tune” components, which are designed for high-performance off-highway and closed track applications; and NISMO apparel and lifestyle items, including hats, T-shirts, jackets and more. Also available are Legacy components for older Nissan and Datsun vehicles. R-tune and Legacy components are designated for off-highway use and are not warranted.
NISMO has also created “recommended equipment packages” for a variety of Nissan products, combining a package of performance and appearance components ideally suited for the customers’ uses.

Taking Performance One Step Further – The 2007 NISMO 350Z
In the 2005 model year, Nissan launched its first factory-equipped NISMO vehicle, the Nissan NISMO Frontier. For 2007, Nissan releases a new NISMO 350Z limited edition model of the legendary Z Coupe (available July 2007).
This new NISMO 350Z features a NISMO aerodynamics package, which strongly resembles the Super GT championship winning Zs; special body dampers mounted in the front radiator core support and in the rear cargo area to assist in controlling body vibrations; and performance features that include a NISMO-tuned exhaust system, special NISMO-tuned independent multi-link suspension, Brembo brakes with four-piston front and two-piston rear calipers and special NISMO-branded gunmetal gray RAYS super lightweight forged-alloy wheels.
“NISMO has an international reputation that has been built over the past 23 years on both the street and track,” said Shahani. “Those experiences, plus the feedback from our engineers and thousands of Z enthusiasts, have all gone into the new NISMO 350Z and we know this special car will impress them all.’”
