Default NISMO aftermarket?

Hey guys. ive been lurking around here for awhile, and decided post for the first time. I am thinking of picking up a nismo z pretty soon and wanted to see what the aftermarket is like on these. will parts for the 07 08 350z also fit the nismo? things such as coilovers, intake, headers, exhaust and things like that.

They are the same chassis as the normal Z33. If you want to throw a bunch of aftermarket parts into a Z, i'd stay away from the Nismo. The Nismo should stay the way it is. Ride rates, roll rates/stiffness, ride frequencies, balance, and aero package has been thought out. That is what your paying extra for over the base Z.

if your going to strip all that nismo put into that with cheap aftermarket parts your ruining the limited car your getting. there are very very few mods that are going to improve the nismo and not make it look cheapened.

with the prices over here id rather pay the extra 2 grand and get a nismo with 15k miles rather than a cheap base.

if that is your only reason for getting a nismo and your just going to mod the **** out of it, then your missing the point of a nismo...

and what im getting from some of you is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to make the nismo z handle better or get more power out of the motor? nissan made the fastest, best handling car EVER correct?

lol i understand that some of you guys like having the same car as the person next to you and dont like to make what you have a reflection of your unique personality...but id rather not have a car that blends into the crowd. thats just me though

Guys who mod their cars fall into a couple of categories:

1. More money than brains

2. Wonderfully twisted obsession with cars

3. Compensating for small @!*& symdrome

4. Think it will help on track (99.8% will never out drive the car verses a professional driving the same car)

5. Luv to brag to others by being different

6. Nothing better to do (ie - no girlfriend or sexy wife) and luv to wrench

7. Can't recognize a half-@$$ mod job

Really - what a headers, suspension, exhaust, etc. going to do for you? But hey -my unmolested will just keep going up in value with all the folks jacking them up - must only be 1,000 or so left after 2 years of moding and crashing. What will the next 3-5 years look like?

To each theeir own BTW - very very rarely to I ever see another 07-08 Nismo so the unique factor is already there.

Just take a look at my Mods! If you do a tasteful job and use top notch parts you can MOST definately improve upon the Nismo... To each their own.

Best not to do it half assed.

Nismo Z's don't exactly "blend in"

Btw, the simple answer to your original question is, yes.

The Nismo has alot of room for improvement! After all it uses the same HR power plant as a Base Z.

I use to share similar thoughts as some of the other member's here who own Nismo's but lets be realistic!!! Do you really believe the Nismo's value will appreciate? If you look through any of the Z's history you will have your answer. The only Nissan in production that stands any chance of holding its value is the GT-R. Sorry I had to burst everyone's bubble... lol But common, Seriously?! Don't be so damn stupid. Automobiles are the worst investment. The Nismo's are simply Toys created for our enjoyment.

Clearly, based on your moding - you ain't half @$$ing it! But seriously, your not the norm. 98% are wanna be's and that's ok, they just don't know that they are.

As for handling, on the street - really? Better handling on the track only applies to a driver that out drivers the car. Best way to evaluate that is to drive 5 to 10 lapse, then let a better than good pro drive the same car for the same number of lapse then decide whether the money should be spent on mods or lessons.

Look, same thing applies to golfers. Their always buying new clubs - the latest and greatest to straighten and add distance to drives, but they still suck. There is no substitute for lessons and hours upon hours at the driving range with an instructor. Almost all don't have the patience and discipline and are looking for the quick fix by moding their bag and clubs.

Just some thoughts and observations from life watching people spend their own money - but it IS THEIRS.
