Had a guy try to talk with me while rolling 50 mph. At light, he said he loved my car - especially the back since it looked like a race car with the square ground effects. He was driving a new 2011 Mustang GT.

What comments do you get from Non Nismo Owners?

 

'I like your Porsche!" Another event was I was getting some food and a 240sx was behind me. He opened his window and gave a thumbs up! Also, there was a thread on this a bit earlier.

alot of people think that my car is a porsche. When my last Nismo was hit and I had it at the shop getting the damage estimate and we came to the conclusion that it was going to be totaled because the damage was over $20k, the guys at the shop were confused and actually argued with me thinking that the car was worth around $70k and this was a shop that specializes in exotics and luxury cars (which is why I brought it to them)

 

Yeah Shaun! I always get the "Nice Porsche!" I just don't see how they can't see a Nissan badge at the back.

 

Wow, a mustang owner who actually got off their high horse and complimented another car that wasn't another mustang. don't see that everyday.

I have yet to have someone say "nice porsche". Although I've had people in porsches comment on how nice the nismo is.

 

I've over heard kids talking at car shows saying,"Is that the new GT-R."

I was doing donuts in a parking lot and a neighbor called the cops on me reporting my car as a "black porsche" haha. I was later pulled over and ticketed

 

In general, people think it's a nice sports car. I'd say 99% of people think it's modified with loads of aftermarket parts, which is understandable, but I don't drive around thinking that.

 

Yeah I get asked so many times how much did all the aftermarket parts cost...I'm like it's the Nismo edition which all you see is fully stock Then about 75% of the time they respond to....Wow! lol

I've seen kids look at the Z with amazement in their faces LOL!

 

Almost forgot. I was at my friend's house last time I was off work and after hanging out I left and within seconds got a txt saying " hey my little 12 year old brother said you have the hottest car he has seen in awhile and keeps talking about it" So since I was in no rush turned around and knocked on his door again and said Justin trying to go for a quick spin if your parents are cool with it!? They said yes just no speeding ;p So me and him went for about 10 min and told him more about the 350z and that mine was the Nismo edition. It made his day and mine

P.S. And I quote from my friends younger brother..." When I grow up I'm going to get this car for sure" Reminds me of the days when I used to dream as a little kid of what I wanted lol

Had a bunch of little kids on a School field trip give me the thumbs up at a stop light. They were all walking past with the teachers and stuff. Was pretty cool. Caught the Dude teacher even checking out the Nis!

 

Yeah, I get that exact reaction most of the time too!

I noticed little kids love my car so much! They're always pointing and have looks of awe on their faces. I've had kids say that my car looks like a spaceship haha.

I have a lot of guys that drive 240's saying they wish they had my car, and how amazing Z's are (which is very true)

Most people just ask me if I race professionally since the Nismo's look very race-tuned.

 

Never had the porsche comment either but I have had countless kids love the nismo Z. Even had my buddies 10 yrs old once call my Z a "hot wheels car". I've even had a couple comments from ladies down in waikiki saying that they love my "race car". And i'm not sure if anyone's gotten this yet, but i've had my entire company (i'm in the military) reference my car from tokyo drift as "D.K.'s" car, I even had that title for a couple months everywhere i went on the base. But as far as "nice car" goes, the Z gets its fair share from all the local petrolheads here in hawaii, no matter if they drive a gt-r or M5, we'll all cool down here.

 

lol i've gotten both the Porsche and GT-R comments. Once I had a mustang owner come up to me an wanted to ask about my car and he made the comment "You must have put over $40k worth of mods on it to make it like that"
