Default Vibration in my Nismo

Okay I am new to the game of 350zs so I need help. When I am turning (atslow speeds) and braking (sometime not) I have a loud vibration come from the back of the car. Could this be an aftermarket lsd thst I am not aware of? Brakes? I took it to the dealership and they said they couldnt find anything wrong with it. If I do have a aftermarket lsd how would I know since I bought the car as it already is.

Could be LSD, CV joint(s), bearings. Not likely brakes. Doesn't sound like the dealer looked very hard. Were you able to demonstrate the issue to them?

sometimes in a blue moon when I come to a stop I have a vibration in the middle of the car....like it's the transmision...but it's like once every three months and for a couple times that day...then nothing...

No I can get it to happen all the time mainly when Im pulling into a parking lot. The dealer said it was my aftermarket exhaust rubbing haha. I took it to my friends shop and he looked and laughes cause there is no rubbing

Yes I was able to demonstrate it too them and they blamed it on the aftermarket exhaust. If something was failing wouldnt it do it at high speeds too, as there is more force on the car.

I was experiencing the exact same thing and it turned out to be a bad wheel bearing. This was at ~8k on my '08.

its easy to test a wheel bearing to see if it is bad or not. what you have to do is drive about 70mph and if the noise is on the right side get in the left lane make sure there is no one next to you and quickly but safely switch lanes. If the noise goes away then its your wheel bearing you can do the same thing if you think its coming from the right side just start in the other lane and switch lanes quickly. Very easy to test for wheel bearing noise. But usualy a bad wheel bearing will make a roaring noise about 30mph and up to highway speeds depending on how far along they are. This can be done for either front or rear wheel bearings.

If you think it could be the wheel bearing just jack the car up like you were changing the wheel and move the wheel side-to-side and see if there is any play. If there is you have a bad bearing.

Its a bad wheel bearing.... its happend to lot of us.... have them check the driverside rear and I bet you'll find the problem. If you do a search on this site you can find a few threads about this. Goodluck

+1, I'd try this first. I had a wheel bearing go out my Tacoma and isolated the problem by jacking each side up and turning the wheel. Hopefully you can find the problem.
