For a 2011 Camaro 2SS/RS. The reason is that I will be able to save just a little over 300.00/mo even daily driving this car. So with that being said we will see what happens in this next week.

Because I dont like mustangs and insurance goes down 60 month and I will have no more 100.00month storage fee for the nismo an payment will be 150.00 less a month for the camaro and it will get about the same if not better gas mileage than the nismo so gas doesn't matter.

I don't follow your math either. Do you own / lease / make payments on the NISMO? If so, for how many months? What would be the terms of your new agreement for the Camaro? If the NISMO is in storage, why wouldn't the Camaro be in storage also? I just don't get it.
+1, that is why I wrote what I did doesn't make much sense. There is alot of factors that play in how much you will or will not save. Like paying for ttl once again, your new interest rate, how come your nismo is in storage but your camaro won't be. Doesn't seem to make much sense at all. Plus if you sell or trade your nismo in, I am sure you will be losing money on your end, also.

OP: If you want a Camaro, just go get one. You honestly don't need to justify it to us, but if you are trying to justify it to yourself, I'd say stick with the NISMO. I personally wouldn't support any auto company that used bailout money. Just my .02!

32500 my price at a 3.79% interest rate. So i will be financing 27k for 72mo at 3.79% which equals to be just under 420mo, which equals to 30,420 after everything is said and done. So now i have saved 142mo car payment and no more storage for 100. My insurance goes down 60mo. which equals to be just a little over 302mo i will save. I will DD the camaro and not need storage I dont DD the nismo just on weekends and when its nice out.
Ouch your INS is high! I have my Nismo & my frontier and its $140-150 a month and I live in NY. Thats full coverage! How many tickets and accidents do you have?!

Looks like it will all work out in your favor! Kinda thinking
on the dealer giving you 30K for a used NISMO, even in perfect condition with low miles. But hey, if they do, great for you!
Like I said, my politics and values won't let me support any auto company that received buy out money.

Sorry to tell all of you but i work for a chevy, mazda, and vw dealership. So with that being said no dealership is filling my head with any BS. I pay 562.mo for 72mo on the nismo and still owe 25500 at 7.44%, after all said and done i would have been paying 40K+. Now they are willing to give me payoff for the nismo. + 4500 since they appraised it at 30k. The camaro will be starting at 34500 after rebates and discount for working for them it will be

Nismo $30,350 over next 54 months then own
Camaro $22,680 over next 54 months
Camaro $ 7,560 over next 18 months then own
camaro $30,240 over next 72 months
So from this point til paid off is a wash plus ins savings
I bought my Nismo new with 233 miles 12 months ago for less than your financing your Camaro for. I'd take the money from the dealer and run. Their smoking - no one in their right mind would pay that for a used car with what 8-12,000 miles?
Just a thought, if cash flow means that much, bag the car and keep your DD. Pay off your credit cards and/or bank a lot of cash to get your credit score in better shape because 7.44% 18 months ago had to have been a 640ish score. Sounds like your above 720 now, but get it over 780 then go buy fun stuff after you fully fund your 401K and have $30K in emergency fund that is never used - then you insurance will be even cheaper as a second - pleasure car.
I know this is totally unrealistic - being in the financial industry, I see almost no one who is out of debt, saves a lot of money, and retires at 50. Almost all spend spend spend and have to work til they die. Immediate gradification is sexier than discipline until your old - then you're not sexy on either account.
This is why the financial industry is sooooo profitable!
What would the numbers be if you refinanced the Z at today's APRs?
I, too, don't understand how they will give you $30k to turn around and sell it for. . . $33k? The numbers don't make sense, no matter how the dealership(s) make it look. Good luck with the Camaro! And if the NISMO is black, I want the wing and the wheels!

so I take it you financed about $32,600 and have made about 18 payments

pics of the nismo?
I got mine for 23k with 14k miles ...
I would like to see the papers on this deal. If so I'll gladly be driving myself to the dealership and trading in my nismo for 2k less than you.
